  • Drug Distribution (Arrests) – On Thursday, April 1, 2016, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Detectives from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Southern Enforcement Unit located a white 2015, Dodge Journey that was allegedly transporting quantities of Heroin from the Trenton area into the Lacey Township. The vehicle was stopped and found to be occupied by the following Trenton residents: sister and brother, 24-year-old Ivory L. Lewis of 63 Brynmawr Avenue in Trenton, NJ and 23-year-old Tiemear Lewis of 844 Carteret Avenue in Trenton, NJ.  A subsequent search of the suspect vehicle located approximately 350 individual dosage units of heroin, along with a quantity of Marijuana.  Both Ivory Lewis and Tiemear Lewis were arrested and transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters. Ivory L. Lewis was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute. Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels, JSC set bail at $40,000, no ten percent. Tiemear Lewis was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute. Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels, JSC set bail at $40,000, no ten percent.  Both Ivory Lewis and Tiemear Lewis were subsequently transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

  • Drug Distribution (Arrests) – On Thursday, March 31, 2016, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Detectives from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Southern Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, executed a no-knock search warrant at 710 Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, NJ as a result of a week long investigation into the distribution of Heroin in the Lacey Township area. Police seized approximately 250 bags of Heroin, a quantity of Marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia from the residence and arrested 23-year-old Joseph Sinopoli and 21-year-old Casey Sinopoli, both from 710 Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, NJ, on various drug charges. They were subsequently transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters. Joseph Sinopoli was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute.  Mr. Joseph Sinopoli and Casey Sinopoli were charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute.

  • Aggravated Assault (Arrest) – On Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 7:08 p.m., Officer Elton Copes and Officer Andrew Slota responded to the Rail Trail near the Wawa at Taylor Lane in Forked River, NJ, for a report of an assault that had just occurred. The victim reported that he had been assaulted by 55-year-old Theodore Riker of Parker Street in Forked River. The victim reported that Theodore Riker struck him with the bat several times. Lacey Township EMS treated the victim and transported him to Community Medical Center. The Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Theodore Riker was charged with Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose. Judge Damian Murray set bail on a criminal arrest warrant at $75,000. Theodore Riker was unable to be located then later turned himself in at police headquarters on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Bail was posted through a bondsman.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Monday, April 4, 2016, at 2:20 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a motor vehicle stop and determined that the driver, 27-year-old Gianna Hankins of Lexington Boulevard in Barnegat, NJ, had a suspended driver’s license. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger, 40-year-old Brenda Piacentino of Chapel Street in Waretown, NJ, on three outstanding child support warrants out of Ocean County for a total of $28,789. Brenda Piacentino was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and then transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Monday, April 4, 2016, at 9:18 a.m., Officer Michael Hein conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road near Briggs Avenue in the Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 42-year-old Steven T. Nych of Leeward Drive in Forked River NJ on a Manchester Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $250 and an outstanding Lavalette Boro Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $200. Steven Nych was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and then transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

  • MVA & DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, April 4, 2016, at 2:03 a.m., Officer John McKee responded to the area of Route 9 near Murray Grove Lane in Lanoka Harbor in reference to a report of a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned causing the driver to become entrapped in the vehicle. The driver, 38-year-old Nicole Quiros of Beachwood, NJ, was transported to Community Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries. Nicole Quiros was arrested for DUI. Nicole Quiros was issued summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain a Lane. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Shoplifting & Warrant (Arrest) – On Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 6:08 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to Auto Zone, 319 Route 9 North in Forked River, for a report of shoplifting. The store employee reported that he observed a male subject acting suspiciously in the store and then enter the ladies room. The subject then reportedly exited the store with items in his front sweatshirt pocket. The empty packaging from merchandise was immediately located in the bathroom and the police department was notified. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Carmine Sperrazza of 11th Avenue in Belmar, NJ, for shoplifting and on an outstanding Wall Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $693. Carmine Sperrazza was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Shoplifting a 400 watt Duralast Brand power inverter valued at $49 and a one thousand watt power inverter valued at $99. Carmine Sperrazza was also charged with DUI.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 9:04 a.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the area of Western Boulevard near the Cedar Creek Bridge in the Lanoka Harbor section of the township for several reports of an erratic driver. The vehicle was then reported to be stopped with a flat tire. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 21-year-old Addam Corson of Lakewood Avenue in Bayville, NJ, for DUI. Addam Corson was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Exhibit Drivers License. The 16-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where she was turned over to the custody of her father.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 1:16 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe observed a vehicle traveling North on Route 9 that failed to maintain its lane of travel. Officer Keefe stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of Rite-Aid, 101 Route 9 South in Forked River, NJ. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 24-year-old Joseph Stuppi of Predmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, NJ for DUI. Joseph Stuppi was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane.

  • Trespassing – On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 5:59 p.m., Sergeant Samuel Della Sala observed several individuals trespassing at Lacey Materials, located on West Lacey Road in the Forked River section of the township. Upon further investigation it was determined that the individuals got their vehicle stuck in the mud while trespassing. Three adults: 22-year-old Vincent G. Belluardo of Pelican Drive in Bayville, NJ; 21-year-old Connor J. Bott of Harbor Inn Road in Bayville, NJ; and 21-year-old Marissa E. Rainey of Bullard Avenue in Forked River, NJ, were charged and issued summonses at the scene for Defiant Trespassing. Vincent G. Belluardo also had an outstanding Atlantic City Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $500. Vincent Belluardo was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance by the authority of the Atlantic City Municipal Court Clerk.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 11:31 a.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the area of West Lacey Road for a report of an aggressive driver. Officer Watkins located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Lacey Road near Spaulding Avenue. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Francis X. Dibrienza 4th on an outstanding South Toms River Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $500. Francis X. Dibrienza was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance by the authority of the South Tomes River Municipal Court Clerk.
