Arrest- On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 10:20 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari conducted a motor vehicle stop on Clairmore Avenue. During the stop, Officer Baldasari discovered an outstanding warrant for the driver, Alexandra Vandorn, 33. Vandorn was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. Vandorn was released on her own recognizance after satisfying the Jackson Township $750 bail. Vandorn was issued summonses for Speeding and Driving While Suspended.
Arrest- On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 1:55 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Briggs Avenue. During the stop, the driver, Michael Giovanni, 27, was arrested for an outstanding warrant issued by El Paso County, Colorado for Larceny. Giovanni was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility where he is awaiting extradition to Colorado.
Arrest- On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 5:18 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari and Brian Holt responded to a call for service at a Spruce Lane residence. During the call, officers encountered Jon Zseleczky, 45, who had just arrived at the residence and appeared under the influence. Zseleczky was arrested and charged with DWI.
Arrest- On Friday, January 10, 2020, at 11:28 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel made contact with a pedestrian, Joshua Casper, 36. During the interaction, an active Trenton Municipal Court warrant was located for Casper. Casper was arrested and transported to Headquarters. Trenton Police recalled the $2,500 warrant and provided Casper with a new Court date.
Fire- On Friday, January 10, 2020, at 11:48 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari was dispatched to Veteran’s Way for a backhoe fire. The fire began while the operator was using the machine to move a mulch pile. The Ocean County Fire Marshal responded and deemed the fire accidental.
Arrest- On Friday, January 10, 2020, at 9:32 p.m., Officer Martin Julian conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road for a cell phone violation. During the stop, Officer Julian located marijuana and paraphernalia leading to the 17 year-old driver being taken into custody. The driver was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Arrest- On Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 9:50 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno made contact with two pedestrians walking on Crestwood Drive. During his interaction with them, Officer Sarno located several outstanding warrants for Chester Ely, 26. Ely was placed under arrest for a Lacey Township warrant and two Berkeley Township warrants. Ely was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that was discovered when he was taken into custody. Ely was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
Stolen Vehicle- On Monday, January 13, 2020, at 9:34 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to a Sunrise Boulevard home for a reported motor vehicle theft. The owner conveyed that his 2009 Hyundai Elantra was stolen from the driveway during the overnight hours. Shortly after taking the report, the vehicle was located on Whitty Road by Toms River Police. The vehicle appeared to have extensive damage to the interior and the license plates were missing.
Shoplifting- On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 5:00 p.m., Officers Andrew Slota and Jason Lee were dispatched to Home Depot after loss prevention reported a suspicious male. While there, officers encountered Mark Wixler, 42, who was attempting to steal merchandise valued at $2,500. Wixler was arrested and transported to Headquarters where officers discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Wixler was listed as a wanted person by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Wixler was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility after being charged with Shoplifting.
