Warrant, Obstructing & Resisting (Arrest) – On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 8:55 p.m., officers received a report that 55-year-old David Spinks was wanted out of Toms River Township on an outstanding warrant for a Violation of a Restraining Order and Harassment. Officer Anthony Sarno responded to Hazelton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, which was the last known address associated with David Spinks. Upon David Spinks observing Officer Sarno approaching, he exited a vehicle and fled on foot through his former yard, through other yards as well, then into a wooded area toward Sinclair Avenue. A search was initiated and two Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Units responded to assist in the search. During the continuing search efforts, the concern arose that David Spinks may have received assistance from other residents to either leave the area or find concealment. At 2:24 a.m., information was received that David Spinks may have received assistance from male subjects at a residence on Hazelton Avenue. Officer McKee and Sgt. Sullivan responded to the Hazelton Avenue residence to speak with three male subjects. David Spinks was observed at the residence and again attempted to flee on foot. David Spinks was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed, then committed to the Ocean County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000. David Spinks was charged with two counts of Violation of a TRO and one charge of Obstruction of Justice along with a charge of 4th degree Resisting Arrest by Flight.

DUI (Arrest) – On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 6:40 a.m., Officers Scott Keefe and John McKee responded to the 1800 block of Lakeside Drive South in Forked River for a possible one-car motor vehicle accident. The caller reported the vehicle went off the road and entered into the woods. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 24-year-old Cory White of Camden Drive in Whiting, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Cory White was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

Multiple Traffic Accidents – On Monday, March 2, 2015, at 6:34 a.m., Officers George Resetar and Adam Ewart responded to the area of W. Lacey Road near Penhook Road in Forked River for a report of a motor vehicle accident. During an approximate 15 minute period, three separate motor vehicle accidents occurred in this area on W. Lacey Road, all involving vehicles sliding on the icy roadway and going off of the road. There were no reported injuries; however, at least two vehicles involved were towed due to excessive damage.

Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 1:13 p.m., Officers Kymberly Gudgeon and Jeffrey Slota responded to the 500 block of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor for a report of an assault. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 44-year-old Steven M. Gonzalez of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor on two outstanding Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrants totaling $85,088. Steven Gonzalez was transported to police headquarters, processed, then lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 11:34 a.m., Officers Frederick Anderson and Jason Lee responded to the Lacey Vision Eye Care Center located at 415 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for an intoxicated female. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by employees that the intoxicated female left the business and entered Salon Tre Chic. An investigation at the scene determined that the intoxicated female allegedly shoplifted $40.00 worth of merchandise from Salon Tre Chic prior to exiting. A description of the female suspect was provided and a search of the area was conducted. A short time later, the female suspect was located across the street at the Lacey McDonalds. She was identified as 29-year-old Viviana M. Hildum of Forepeak Drive in Forked River. Vivian Hildum was arrested for the above shoplifting and transported to police headquarters. She was processed and released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.

Warrant Arrest – On Friday, February 27, 2015, at 2:05 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota conducted a traffic stop on Oak Lane near Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 32-year-old Dequan A. Burgess of E. Front Street in Plainfield, NJ, on an outstanding Irvington Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $300. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Dequan Burgess was released after receiving an ROR from Irvington Municipal Court. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for a cell phone violation and for improperly operating a motor vehicle without a required interlock device.

Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Thursday, February 26, 2015, at 11:37 a.m., Officers Frederick Anderson and Jason Lee conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South near Hollywood Boulevard in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 20-year-old Christopher J. Crincoli of Skimmer Court in Forked River, for possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Marijuana. In addition, he received a traffic summons. Officers Anderson and Lee were assisted by the Lacey Township Detective Bureau and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit.

Warrant, Drug Possession and Theft (Arrest) – On Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 3:31 p.m., Officers Michael Eden and Evan Androcy responded to Mainsail Court in Forked River for a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 20-year-old William P. Schick, 3rd of Mainsail Court in Forked River, on an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,000 and an Ocean Township (Waretown) Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $350. Upon arrest, he was found to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe containing heroin. William P. Schick, 3rd was transported to police headquarters and processed. William P. Schick, 3rd was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. His bail for these offenses was set by the court at $10,000. William Schick, 3rd was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 4:31 p.m., Officers Daniel Ricciardella and Scott Keefe responded to Portsmouth Drive in Forked River to serve two arrest warrants. Upon arrival, Officers met with 25-year-old Kyle A. Conroy of Bullard Avenue in Forked River. Kyle Conroy was arrested on two Lacey Township warrants totaling $838. Kyle Conroy was transported to police headquarters, processed, and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

Warrant Arrests – On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 6:56 p.m., Officer John McKee responded to police headquarters for a report of threats. During the course of the threat investigation, Officer McKee learned that the suspect, 35-year-old Michael Myers of Mill Road in Egg Harbor, NJ, had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $200 and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Atlantic City Municipal Court in the amount of $350. Officers McKee and Brian Holt arrested Michael Myers on the above warrants and lodged him in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
