Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – November 30th through December 7th, 2016
- Shoplifting – On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 2:41 p.m., Officers Frederick Anderson and Jesse Dalziel responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 21-year-old Steven Koc of Vine Street in Bayville, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $9.97. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Steven Koc was released after receiving a criminal summons for shoplifting.
- DUI Arrest– On Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 9:50 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of an intoxicated driver. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 28-year-old James R. Smith of Buena Vista Road in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. James R. Smith was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving and Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Shoplifting – On Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 1:41 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a shoplifter who had fled the building with merchandise. Investigation at the scene revealed that the Walmart Asset Protection Associate observed an unknown adult male at 1:25 p.m. remove merchandise valued at $107.26 and conceal it in a bag. He followed the subject and confronted him at the front entrance of the store as he was leaving with the bag of merchandise. The subject stated, “You can’t touch me” and then fled the scene on foot running north through the Lacey Used Auto rear parking lot. The suspect was described as a white male in his early 30’s with a beard, weighing approximately 150 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black leather coat and light blue jeans. A search for the suspect was concluded with negative results. The incident is under investigation.
- Theft (Residence) – On Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 1:30 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the 600 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River, for a report of stolen jewelry from the residence. The victim reported that the items were last seen on August 19, 2016. The stolen items are as follows: 10k Gold Hoop Earrings valued at $100; Severed Gold Ring with initial “T” curve side lettering valued at $240; Six (6) string gold necklace (weave with claw clasp) valued at $1,500; Emerald and diamond hoop earrings valued at $2,100; Gold ankle bracelet (square link) valued at $300; and a blue sapphire ring (marquis stone) valued at $150; for a total value of $4,390. The incident under investigation.
- Drug and Warrant Arrest – On Friday, December 2, 2016, at 9:51 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Anthony Sarno responded to the McDonald’s, located at 404 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a report of drug activity. Upon arrival, they were informed that the suspects were leaving in a blue sedan. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and an investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 45-year-old Joseph D. Negra of Central Avenue in Island Heights, New Jersey, for Possession of CDS. In addition, Joseph Negra had an outstanding Toms River Township Municipal Court warrant with bail in the amount of $750. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Joseph Negra was charged on a criminal warrant with Possession of CDS and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail, including the Toms River Township Municipal Court warrant.
- Theft (Residence) – On Friday, December 2, 2016, at 6:02 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the 700 block of Drexel Road in Lanoka Harbor for a report of stolen jewelry. The victim reported that while having work done at her house, she notice a 14k flat gold necklace valued at $2,500.00 missing. The victim provided the name of a suspect and the matter remains under investigation.
- DUI Arrest – On Friday, December 2, 2016, at 7:43 a.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the 800 block of Alpine Street in Forked River for a possible dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 45-year-old Michelle J. Devlin, of Alpine Street in Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Michelle J. Devlin was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 9:51 p.m., Officers Anthony Sarno and Julie Barcalow responded to the 1200 block of Taylor Lane in Forked River for a report that there was a male adult who was wanted on several outstanding warrants staying on the back porch of the residence. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 28-year-old Alan M. Hill of Taylor Lane in Forked River, on the following warrants: (1) Stafford Township Municipal Court with $15,000 full bail; (2) Lacey Township Municipal Court with $5,000 full bail; (3) Mays Landing (Hamilton Township) with $500 full bail; and (4) Galloway Township Municipal Court with $350 bail. Alan M. Hill was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was later turned over to the custody of the Stafford Township Police Department.
- Shoplifting – On Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 2:07 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to Kohl’s, located at 304 North Main Street in Forked River, for a report of a shoplifting. Investigation at the scene revealed that the Asset Protection Associate was reviewing surveillance footage from the prior day and discovered that a white adult male had taken three (3) Fit Bit Charge 2 items from the display and exited the store without paying for them. The items are valued at $149.99 each, for a total of $449.97. Further investigation identified the subject as 28-year-old Alan M. Hill of Taylor Lane in Forked River. An arrest warrant was issued for him with bail set at $5,000 full.
- Criminal Trespass (Motor Vehicle) – On Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 6:33 a.m., Officer Darrell Nick responded to the Land of Oz Nursery School, located at 117 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report of an individual sleeping in the caller’s vehicle. Investigation at the scene revealed that the complainant, who lives above the nursery school, had parked his vehicle in the front parking lot and when he woke up that morning to move his vehicle, he found a younger male with blonde hair, a backpack and skateboard, sleeping across the back seat. When the complainant confronted the subject, he exited the vehicle and walked towards the rail trail. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. The area was checked for the subject with negative results.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – November 23rd through November 29th, 2016
- Burglary – Residence – On Thursday, November 29, 2016, at 2:46 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 1000 block of South Branch Way in Forked River for a report of a burglary to the residence. The listing agent of the property notified police of the incident and believed that the residence was burglarized sometime between 11/18/2016 thru 11/29/2016. The residence was entered by prying open a side entrance door. The owner of the property was called to the scene and it was determined that nothing was removed from the home. The damage to the door was valued at approximately $50.00.
- DUI Arrest – On Sunday, November 27, 2016, at 10:14 p.m., Officer Charles May conducted a traffic stop on Alpine Street near Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 38-year-old Jennifer R. Bernard of Lakeside Drive North in Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Failure to Exhibit Registration and Failure to Give Proper Signal. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Theft – On Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 7:33 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 200 block of John Street in Forked River for a report of a light bar stolen from a vehicle. The victim stated that on November 23, 2016, he noticed his 52 inch “CREE” LED Curved Light Bar, valued at $150.00, was stolen from his 2006 white Dodge Ram that was parked in front of his residence. There is an ongoing investigation involving potential suspects in this theft.
- Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 6:06 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella conducted a motor vehicle stop on Penn Avenue South and Alpine Street in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 44-year-old Oscar J. Dillard III of Lakeview Drive South in South Toms River, New Jersey, on an outstanding warrant for DUI out of New Gretna, with a bail amount of $1,000. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after posting bail. In addition, he was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Suspended.
- Theft from Motor Vehicle – On Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 5:23 p.m., Officer Julian Martin observed an unattended maroon Dodge Caravan parked at a stop sign on Dogwood Lane and Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River. The owner of the vehicle reported that he ran out of fuel and left his vehicle unlocked while attempting to get help. The keys were removed from the ignition by the time the owner returned to the vehicle. It is unknown who may have removed the keys from the vehicle. The keys are valued at $10.00.
- Theft – On Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11:32 a.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Eric Plaza located at 336 Lacey Road in Forked River for a report of a stolen camera. The victim advised that he was taking pictures with his Nikon D300 camera at the Ocean County Brazilian Jiu Jitsu building when his camera lens began to “fog up.” He left the camera unattended on the steps of the east side of the plaza outside the Jiu Jitsu building for approximately one minute in order to let the sun resolve the condensation issue in the lens. When he returned, the camera was gone. The camera and lens are valued at $2,500.00.
- Warrant Arrest and Transport – On Friday, November 25, 2016, at 8:47 p.m., Officer Julie Barcalow responded to the Stafford Township Police Department to pick up 37-year-old Andrew S. Zitzner of Adriatic Avenue, Waretown, New Jersey, who was arrested on an outstanding Lacey Township warrant for shoplifting in the amount of $500. He was unable to post bail, processed by Officer Barcalow, and transported to Ocean County Jail.
- Simple Assault – On Friday, November 25, 2016, at 7:18 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Jason Lee responded to the area of Denton Avenue and Leanne Court in Forked River for a report of an assault in progress. A 14-year-old juvenile male, who had visible signs of injury on his face, claimed that while he was riding his bicycle home, he was pushed off and assaulted by an unknown juvenile male. Further investigation identified the suspect as a 16-year-old juvenile male. Juvenile complaints are currently pending against him for Simple Assault.
- Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, November 24, 2016, at 10:25 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the Wawa located at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River for a report of a female harassing the cashier and customers. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 55-year-old Jerilyn M. Wilbert of Browns Mills, New Jersey, on two (2) active warrants out of Pemberton Township; Warrant number one (1) was issued for failure to comply with time payment order, with a bail amount of $119; and Warrant number two (2) was issued for disorderly conduct, with a bail amount of $325. Jerilyn Wilbert was transported to police headquarters and processed. The Pemberton Township Police Department was contacted and notified that she was unable to post bail. They authorized the release of Jerilyn M. Wilbert on her own recognizance with a new court date.
- Burglary – Residence – On Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 10:42 a.m., Officer Darrell Nick responded to the 1800 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River for a report of the theft of copper from the residence. The property manager of the residence was performing a home inspection on this date and noticed that the copper from the baseboard heaters throughout the entire house was missing, as well as the copper from the crawl space. The residence has been vacant since approximately September 1, 2015. It is unknown when the burglary or theft of the copper occurred. The front door appeared to have been kicked in and windows had been opened at the rear of the residence. The stolen copper is valued at $2,000.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – November 15th through November 22nd, 2016
- Residential Structure Fire – On Friday, November 25, 2016, at 12:09 a.m., Officers Christopher Meyler, Anthony Sarno, and Julie Barcalow responded to the 1800 block of Serpentine Drive in Forked River, after receiving a call from a security company advising of a smoke alarm activation at the residence. The alarm notification was followed by a second call from a neighbor reporting heavy smoke coming from the residence. Upon Officer Meyler’s arrival, he observed a large concentration of flames coming from the rear of the ranch-style home. Officer Meyler located two adult female occupants (visitors from Massachusetts), who advised that they were able to exit from the fire, however, the 81-year-old female homeowner was still inside. Officer Meyler soon discovered the woman was trapped inside the attached garage. Officer Meyler broke an exterior garage window and entered inside in an attempt to reach the homeowner. Officers Julie Barcalow, Anthony Sarno, and Scott Keefe arrived on scene to assist. Officer Sarno entered the garage, along with two Forked River Volunteer Firemen, Rob Anderson and Ed Barker, Jr. The four of them were able to successfully transfer the woman homeowner outside through the garage window. The homeowner, and the two female visitors from Massachusetts, ages 64 and 35, were transported to Community Medical Center for smoke inhalation. Officers Meyler and Sarno were also taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries. The initial investigation revealed that the fire might have begun on the home’s exterior and spread inside without the knowledge of the occupants. The three women appeared to flee to the garage but were unable to open the garage doors due to the loss of power. The two visitors escaped from a window located toward the front of the residence, however, they were separated from the homeowner in the heavy smoke. Fire departments from Forked River, Lanoka Harbor, Bayville, Waretown, and Stafford Township responded to the fire. In addition, the Lacey and Lanoka Harbor First Aid Squads, along with Monoc Paramedics responded to provide care and transport the injured. The residence sustained extensive damage as a result of the fire. The neighboring home also had damage stemming from the extreme heat. Lacey Detective Kymberly Gudgeon and members of the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office will be conducting further investigation to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
- Residential Structure Fire– On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 1:11 a.m., Officers Charles May, George Resetar, Robert Duffy and John McKee responded to the 1100 block of Laurel Blvd in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, the residence was fully engulfed with flames. The fire eventually spread to the residence located next door, engulfing it in flames. All occupants had exited their respective homes without injury. The Lanoka Harbor, Forked River, Bamber Lakes and Bayville Fire Departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Both residences suffered extensive damage. Lacey Police Detective Brian Flynn and the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office responded. The investigation is continuing.
- Criminal Mischief (Residence) – On Monday, November 21, 2016, at 6:39 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the 800 block of Devon St in Forked River, for a report of criminal mischief. The owner reported that during the overnight hours both of his vehicles, which were parked in the driveway, each had (1) one tire flattened. No signs of a puncture or slash were evident. The tires were valued at $100.00 each.
- DUI Arrest – On Sunday, November 20, 2016, at 1:10 p.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Michael Hein responded to the 500 block of Alpine Street in Forked River for a report of a driver who was suspected to be operating his motor vehicle under the influence of CDS. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 34-year-old Ryan K. Whitlock, of Alpine Street in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Ryan K. Whitlock was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Drug Arrest – On Friday, November 18, 2016, at 11:35 p.m., Officer Jason Lee observed a suspicious vehicle in the Deerhead Lake Parking lot, located at 5000 Lakeside Drive South in Forked River, with two male occupants inside. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old John K. Kalamaras, of Clubhouse Drive in Forked River, and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Forked River, for Possession of Marijuana. They were transported to police headquarters and processed. John Kalamaras was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The juvenile was charged on a juvenile complaint with identical charges and released to a relative.
- Shoplifting– On Friday, November 18, 2016, at 10:15 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to JR Liquors, located at 1000 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report of shoplifting. The investigation led to the arrest of 33-year-old Kristin Hansen of Oxford Road in Lanoka Harbor for shoplifting a One Liter bottle of Smirnoff 100 Proof Vodka, valued at $21.49. She was charged on a Criminal Summons and released.
- Terroristic Threats (Arrest) – On Friday, November 18, 2016, at 7:26 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the 600 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River, for a report of threatening messages received by the victim on Facebook. Investigation at the scene led to the issuance of a Criminal Warrant charging 24-year-old William A. Ulaky of Glen Oak Drive in Forked River, with Terroristic Threats and Cyber Harassment. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000.00. Officer Verwey responded to the 1800 block of Glen Oak Drive in Forked River, and met with William Ulaky. William Ulaky was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed. He was released after posting bail.
- Warrant Arrest/Hindering Apprehension – On Friday, November 18, 2016, at 2:01 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 20-year-old Louis V. Dautorio, 4th, of Center Street in Forked River, for Hindering his Apprehension by providing false information in an effort to hide his identity. In addition, a Peapack Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $500 was located for his arrest. Louis V. Dautorio, 4th, was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was released after receiving a Criminal Summons for Hindering his Apprehension and a traffic summons for Driving with a Suspended License. Peapack Township Municipal Court released him ROR on their warrant.
- Drug Arrest – On Friday November 18, 2016, at 4:05 a.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop on Lacey Road near Denton Avenue in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger, 18-year-old Angelina N. Fellanto, of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River, for Possession of Marijuana. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Angelina N. Fellanto was later released after receiving a Criminal Summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less. The driver was issued traffic summonses for Maintenance of Lamps and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
- Drug Arrest – On Thursday, November 17, 2016, at 12:19 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South near Beach Boulevard in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Gaberiel Belyayev of Brandywine Avenue in Forked River for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Gaberiel Belyayev was released after receiving Criminal Summonses for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Speeding and CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – November 9th through November 14th, 2016
- Burglary and Theft (Shed) – On Monday, November 14, 2016, at 5:28 p.m., Officer George Resetar responded to the 200 block of Oak Lane in Forked River for a report of theft. The victim reported that between 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 and 4:45 p.m. on November 14, 2016, an unknown person or persons entered his shed and stole a 20 inch Stihl 036 Model chainsaw valued at $500. There were no signs of forced.
- Fraud – On Monday, November 14, 2016, at 4:31 p.m., Officer George Resetar responded to police headquarters for fraud report. The victim reported that she had been alerted that an unknown person or persons had accessed her TD Bank checking account and had made several purchases which included several Uber purchases and airline tickets. The victim reported that she had notified the TD Bank Fraud Department of the fraud and they are investigating the matter. The total amount of fraudulent purchases is estimated at $2600.
- Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 11:40 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to Applebee’s, located at 404 Route 9 South in Forked River, on an unrelated incident involving an intoxicated male. While in the parking lot, he observed a blue 2013 Hyundai Elantra in the parking lot with extensive damage. Investigation at the scene indicated that an unknown person had smashed out the front and rear windows of the vehicle. In addition, footprints were observed on the roof and hood. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1000. The incident is under investigation.
- Warrant and Drug Arrest – On Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 6:07 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the 800 block of Buena Vista Road in Forked River in reference to a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Jeni L. McDaniel of Buena Vista Road in Forked River, on an outstanding Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrant in the bail amount of $1,815.21. Jeni McDaniel was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. Correctional Personnel located two empty wax folds of heroin that were hidden in her inner clothing. The evidence was collected and processed by Lacey Police Officer Jesse Dalziel. Jeni McDaniel was charged with Possession of Heroin.
- Criminal Mischief (Township Property) – On Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., Special Officer Adam Bylsma was on patrol when he observed fresh graffiti on several township signs including a “Stop” sign located at the intersection of Pinta Way and Constitution Drive in Forked River, and a “Curb Your Dog” sign located on the 300 block of Bayside East Parkway in Forked River. The signs were painted with white and black spray paint. The damage is estimated $100.
- Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 10:48 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop in the area of 131 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 46-year-old David A. Paul Jr., of North Maple Avenue in Little Egg Harbor, NJ, on two outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued from the Galloway Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $400 and warrant number two (2) was issued from the North Wildwood Municipal Court in the bail amount of $100. David Paul Jr., was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was released after posting full bail. In addition, David Paul Jr., received traffic summonses for Driving with a Suspended License and Operating an Unregistered Vehicle.
- Criminal Mischief (Township Property) – On Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 5:39 p.m., Special Officer Adam Bylsma was on patrol when he observed fresh graffiti on a township owned “Watch Children” sign located on the 1500 block of Whitcomb Road in Forked River. The sign was painted with black spray paint. The damage is estimated at $50.
- Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 3:50 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the 800 block of Michelle Court in Lanoka Harbor in reference to a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 69-year-old James J. Peirano of Michelle Court in Lanoka Harbor on an outstanding Rockingham County, New Hampshire no-bail NCIC warrant for Fraud. James Peirano was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility pending extradition to New Hampshire.
- Theft and Fraud – On Friday, November 11, 2016, at 8:04 p.m., Officer John McKee responded to police headquarters in reference to a theft report. The victim reported that between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on November 11, 2016, an unknown person or persons entered his black 2013 Hyundai Elantra and stole his wallet. The victim reported that the theft either occurred while his vehicle was parked in Gille Park, located at 56 Manchester Avenue in Forked River, or while he was at Retro Fitness, located at 410 Route 9 South in Forked River. The wallet contained various credit cards, health cards, a New Jersey driver’s license, and a Law Enforcement ID. The victim became aware of the theft when he was alerted of an unauthorized purchase at Delta Gas, located at 602 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. The value of the stolen property is estimated at $50.00. The incident is under investigation.
- Warrant Arrest – On Friday, November 11, 2016, at 10:25 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 508 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 25-year-old Stacey L. Ray of New Egypt, NJ, on two outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in the bail amount of $4186, and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Toms River Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $500. Stacey L. Ray was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. She was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

- Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 3:40 a.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Applebee’s located at 404 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 24-year-old Krystena Runkle, of Bowline Street in Beachwood, NJ, for Possession of CDS. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Krystena Runkle was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of 50 Grams or Less of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, she received traffic summonses for Driving with a Suspended License, Suspended Registration, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. The vehicle she was operating was impounded.
- Drug Arrest – On Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 10:20 p.m., Special Officer Robert Campolei was on patrol when he observed an occupied vehicle parked in the parking lot of Deerhead Lake. Upon speaking with the driver, 19-year-old Sean M. Flynn of Spray Drive in Beachwood, NJ, Special Officer Campolei detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Sean Flynn and a 17-year-old male passenger from Forked River, for Possession of CDS. They were both transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Sean M. Flynn was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The juvenile was charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was turned over to the custody of his parents.
- Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 3:35 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Lacey Road near Lane Place in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 25-year-old David A. Higgins of Fairchild Avenue in Morris Plains, NJ, on a Galloway Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $350. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. David A. Higgins was released after posting bail. In addition, he was issued traffic summonses for Speeding and Driving with a Suspended License.
- Aggravated Assault on Police – On Friday, November 04, 2016, at 2:07 a.m., Sergeant Ronald Buxton and Officers Robert Duffy and George Resetar responded to a residence located on the 400 block of Sinclair Avenue in Lanoka Harbor to assist a female who reported that she was trapped underneath a dresser. Upon arrival officers met with the caller, 54-year-old Colleen Marie of Sinclair Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, at the front door of the residence. Colleen Marie was irate and creating a disturbance in regard to a prior police response. When Officers attempted to speak with her, she became even more aggressive and began breaking items within the residence. During the incident Colleen Marie became physical with the officers and began to kick, punch, and bite them. Officers were eventually able to bring Colleen Marie under control and placed her under arrest for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer. Colleen Marie was charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer with bail was set in the amount of $40,000. With the assistance of a bail bondsman, Colleen Marie posted bail.
- Shoplifting – On Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the Wawa, located at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report of a Shoplifting that occurred earlier in the morning. The store manager reported that a white male had shoplifted merchandise consisting of two boxes of Wawa brand K-cups coffee valued at $18.98, a breakfast Sizzli valued at $2.79, and two packs of Life Saver mints valued $9. The total theft is valued at $30.77. The incident was captured on video surveillance and is under investigation.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 6:37 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the 200 block of Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor, for a theft report. The victim reported that between 7:00 p.m. on November 2, 2016 and 6:00 a.m. on November 3, 2016, an unknown person or persons entered his 2006 Ford F-350 and stole several items including an Excalibur Micro Cross bow, a fanny pack containing New Jersey and Pennsylvania hunting licenses, a first aid kit, a buck knife, and two New Jersey bow hunting permits valued at $1,370. The victim reported that he locked the vehicle, however no signs of forced entry could be located. The incident is under investigation.
- Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 7:52 a.m. Officer Darrell Nick responded to Pheasant Run Court for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The complainant reported that between 9:00 p.m. on November 1, 2016 and 7:30 a.m. on November 2, 2016, an unknown person or persons damaged his girlfriend’s vehicle by putting two large scratch marks down the driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the roadway in front of the residence during the time of the incident. The damage is estimated at $500.
- Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 12:40 a.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 North and Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, Gregory Giacini, Jr., of Independence Drive in Forked River, on an outstanding Ocean Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $89. Gregory Giacini was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters and processed. He was released after posting bail.
- Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 8:44 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 North near Warren Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 36-year-old Allison E. Connors of Ocean Gate, NJ, on an outstanding Ocean Gate Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500 and a Toms River Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500. Allison Connors was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. She was turned over to the custody of the Toms River Township Police Department. In addition, Allison Connors received a traffic summons for Driving with a Suspended License.
- Shoplifting – On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 4:02 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the area of Bayberry Drive and Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of two shoplifters who had just fled from Walmart, 580 Route 9, Lanoka Harbor, after committing the thefts. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 15-year-old male from Lanoka Harbor, and a 14-year-old female from Forked River for shoplifting. The loss prevention employee from Walmart reported that he observed the female conceal women’s cosmetics in her purse and the male juvenile conceal a men’s sweater, an American Horror Story DVD, and Nautica cologne. The juveniles then fled the store on foot without paying for the items. The juveniles were transported to Police Headquarters and processed. They were both charged on Juvenile Complaints with Shoplifting merchandise valued at $124. They were both released to their parents.
