Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 7th through September 14, 2017

  • Drug Arrest – On Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 10:14 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Laurel Plaza, located at 629 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 28-year-old Dakota Rowling of Lawrence Drive in Lanoka Harbor, for possession of CDS. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Dakota Rowling was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Failure to Observe a Traffic Signal, Improper Left Turn, Failure to Exhibit a Driver’s License, Failure to Inspect, Tinted Windows, and CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
  • Drug Arrest– On Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 12:05 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Forked River Fire Department parking lot, located at 121 Parker Avenue in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the vehicle’s driver, identified as 39-year-old Jason M. Denoia of Burrsville Road in Brick, NJ, for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Jason M. Denoia was charged on a criminal warrant with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. He was later lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
  • Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 6:17 p.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a traffic stop on Manchester Avenue and Quail Hill Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 34-year-old Glenn Bevelheimer of Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor, on three outstanding arrest warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Long Beach Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $100, warrant number two (2) was issued by the Stafford Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $558, and warrant number three (3) was issued by the Long Beach Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $100. Glenn Bevelheimer was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
  • Drug Arrest – On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10:00 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the Applebee’s, located at 404 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of suspicious persons outside the restaurant. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Sydney A. Littleford of Predmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, for Possession of CDS. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed.   Sydney A. Littleford was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 2:18 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe was investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. During the investigation, 46-year-old William A. Hall, Jr., of Railroad Avenue in Waretown, NJ, was arrested on an outstanding New Gretna Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $256. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. William A. Hall, Jr., was released on his own recognizance by the New Gretna Municipal Court.
  • DUI Arrest – On Monday, September 11, 2017, at 8:31 p.m., Officers Julie Barcalow and Scott Keefe were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Lacey Road in Forked River for a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 48-year-old Dawn M. Cornelius of Phillips Road in Forked River (Bamber), NJ, for DUI. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Dawn M. Cornelius was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Produce a Valid Registration Card and a Valid Insurance Card. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 3:03 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 21-year-old Donald Gray Gille III of Dorrance Avenue in Bayville, NJ, on two (2) outstanding arrest warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Berkeley Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $150, and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Beachwood Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $596. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Donald Gray Gille III was released after posting bail on both warrants. In addition, he received a criminal summons for Hindering his Own Apprehension by originally providing a false name to the police officers.
  • Theft (bicycle)– On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 2:05 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to Caffrey’s, located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of a stolen bicycle. The owner reported leaving the bicycle behind the restaurant unlocked and unattended from 1:00 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Upon her return, the bicycle was missing. The bicycle is valued at $25.
  • Shoplifting – On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 1:12 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to The Beauty Shop, located at 344 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor (Lacey Mall), for a shoplifting. An unknown female fled the store after being confronted by an employee for putting items in her purse. The total theft is estimated at $15.
  • Shoplifting – On Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 7:43 p.m., Officers Elton Copes and Andrew Slota responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 41-year-old Timothy J. Hoban of Windward Drive in Barnegat, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $671.28. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Timothy J. Hoban was released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.
  • Fire – On Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 11:58 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the 1500 block of Whitcomb Road in Forked River, for a report of a microwave oven on fire inside the residence. The juvenile caller was utilizing the microwave when the item inside ignited. The Forked River Fire Department responded, shut the circuit breaker to the microwave off, and determined the fire to be extinguished. Damage to the microwave is estimated at $150.
  • Burglary and Criminal Mischief– On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 3:24 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the 800 block of Tampa Road in Forked River, for a report of a burglary. The complainant reported that between August 24, 2017, and September 7, 2017, an unknown person or persons forced entry into the residence by breaking a window. A rear door was also found to be unlocked. At the time of the report it did not appear anything was taken from the residence. The damage to the residence is estimated at $250.
  • DUI Arrest– On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 8:15 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 near Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to arrest of the driver, identified as 67-year-old Clifford J. Adams from W 39th Street in Bayonne, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Clifford J. Adams was released after receiving traffic summons for DUI, Reckless Driving and Maintenance of Lamps. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 1st through September 6th, 2017

  • DUI with Motor Vehicle Crash (Arrest) – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 11:59 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the area of Kearny Avenue and Lakeside Drive North in Forked River for a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash involving a utility pole. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 24-year-old Mariah K. Bartley of Windlass Drive in Manahawkin, NJ for DUI. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Mariah K. Bartley was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 11:51 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was patrolling the parking lot of Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, when he recognized an adult male known to him to have active arrest warrants. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Joseph J. Caputo, 4th of Barnacle Road in Forked River, on an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500 and an Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrant in the bail amount of $8896. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed.  Joseph J. Caputo, 4th was later lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
  • Burglary and Theft (Residence) – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 4:26 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the 1700 block of Hillside Place in Forked River, for a report of a residential burglary. The victim reported that between Wednesday, August 30, 2017 and Tuesday, September 5, 2017, an unknown person or persons pried open a back window of her residence and stole an unknown amount of jewelry from within. The Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau responded to the scene and is continuing the investigation.
  • DUI and Drug Arrest – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 4:09 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the area of Route 9 South in Forked River in reference to a report of an erratic driver. A vehicle description was provided and a short time later Officer Lee located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the 300 block of Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 32-year-old James R. Wareham of Niihau Drive in Forked River for DUI. He was also found to be in Possession of CDS.  James R. Wareham was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving and CDS in a Motor Vehicle. In addition he received a summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 grams or Less. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Burglary and Theft (Residence) – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 7:57 a.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 900 block of Montauk Drive in Forked River for a report of a burglary. The victim, who is employed as a contractor at the residence, reported that between 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017, and 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered the garage portion of the residence a stole a red Harbor Freight jack hammer valued at $500. No signs of forced entry were located and the incident remains under investigation.
  • DUI Arrest – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 5:33 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a male slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 35-year-old Keith A. Bernier of East Lacey Road in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Keith A. Bernier was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Theft – On Monday, September 4, 2017, at 4:18 p.m., Officer Julie Barcalow responded to the 700 block of Tampa Road in Forked River, for a report of theft. The victim reported that between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017, an unknown person or persons stole an aluminum fishing pole rack off the front of his truck. Furthermore, the victim reported that two commercial crab traps and an anchor were stolen from his boat. Both the truck and boat were parked in the driveway of a residence located on the 800 block of Tampa Road in Forked River at the time of the theft. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at $250.
  • Shoplifting – On Monday September 4, 2017, at 11:29 a.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for two shoplifters. The Asset Protection employee reported that two female subjects were observed inside the store concealing merchandise into bags and attempting to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Nicole R. Baynard of Route 166 in Toms River, NJ and 26-year-old Courtney A. Fiore of Overview Court in Bayville, NJ for shoplifting merchandise valued at $153.84. Both suspects were transported to Police Headquarters and processed. They were both released after receiving a criminal summons for shoplifting.
  • Fireworks – On Sunday, September 3, 2017, at 8:22 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the area of Sommerell Avenue and Woodland Road in Forked River for a complaint of fireworks. Investigation at the scene led to a Special Form of Complaint and Summons be issued against 29-year-old Brian A. Shiflett of Woodland Road in Forked River for Possession of Fireworks. He was released at the scene.
  • Theft – On Friday, September 1, 2017, at 11:10 a.m., Officer John Cernek responded to the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a theft report. The victim reported that during the early morning hours of Friday, September 1st, 2017, an unknown person or persons stole her bicycle from the woods behind the Wawa. The bicycle was described as being a blue 15-speed girls mountain bike valued at $200.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – August 25th Through August 31st, 2017

  • Shoplifting – On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 4:17 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to One Love Surf Shop, located at 312 South Main Street in Forked River, for a report of a shoplifting. The owner reported that on August 25, 2017, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a white female, between 20 and 30 years of age, brought merchandise into the dressing room for an extended period of time and then left without purchasing anything. The store owner reported that at approximately 2:00 p.m. on August 31, 2017, the same female entered the store and took several items of clothing into the dressing room and then left again without purchasing anything. The store owner reported that they discovered a short time later that several items of clothing had been stolen. The stolen merchandise included an O’Neill shirt valued at $44, a Jetty zip up hooded sweatshirt valued at $49, and a swimsuit valued at $18. The total value of the stolen merchandise is $103. The female was observed by the store employee entering a red 2001 Saturn sedan. The suspect remains at large and the incident is under investigation.
  • Theft – On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 9:35 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to Police Headquarters in reference to a theft report. The complainant reported that sometime during the last three weeks an unknown person or persons stole several items from a shed on his property, located on Montauk Drive in Forked River. The stolen property consisted of four Black Bart 130lb fishing rods valued at $6,000, four 2-speed Penn International 130VSX gold series fishing reels valued at $4,800, a Jerry Brown 500lb fishing line spooled on the four reels listed above valued at $1,200, two Tony Maja black and red fishing rods valued at $400, two Avet HX 5/2 silver fishing reels valued at $1,000, an East Wing framing hammer valued at $60, an East Wing concrete hammer valued at $40, a DeWalt cordless hammer drill valued at $230, a Makita 7.25 skill saw valued at $130, a DeWalt miter saw valued at $450, a DeWalt miter saw cutting stand valued at $199, a tackle bag containing assorted offshore fishing tackle valued at $1,500, and assorted copper pipes and fittings to plumb the residence valued at $500. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at $16,509.00. The incident remains under investigation.   
  • Theft (Residence) – On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 2:03 p.m., Officer John Cernek responded to the 1000 block of Pensacola Road in Forked River for a theft report. The complainant reported that between the middle of July 2017 and the middle of August 2017, several items were stolen from his residence. The stolen items included a 10k gold rope chain with various charms and pendants, a Ryobi cordless tool pack, a Bosch palm nailer, a Kent Bayside Cruiser, DVD’s, twenty (20) Xanax .5 mg tablets, two X box games, a PS Vita and a LG Arista cell phone. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at $1,619. There were no signs of forced entry. The name of a possible suspect was provided. The incident remains under investigation.
  • Drug and Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Monday, August 28, 2017, at 9:28 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a traffic stop on Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 21-year-old Yehuda L. Cochavi of Caranetta Drive in Lakewood, NJ, and the passenger, identified as 19-year-old Kaila S. Lapham of Maywood Place in Forked River, for possession of CDS. Furthermore, Yehuda L. Cochavi was found to have three (3) outstanding warrants for his arrest. Warrant number one (1) was issued from the Lakewood Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $750, warrant number two (2) was issued from the Jackson Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $250 and warrant number three (3) was issued from the Brick Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $500. Both suspects were transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Kaila Lapham was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Yehuda Cochavi was later turned over to the custody of the Lakewood Township Police Department. In addition, Yehuda Cochavi was issued traffic summonses for Speeding, Suspended Drivers License, Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Produce a Registration Card, and Failure to Produce an Insurance Card.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, August 27, 2017, at 11:10 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded Tampa Road and Beach Boulevard in Forked River, for a dispute in the roadway. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old James Papiomitis, of Capstan Avenue in Beachwood, NJ, on an outstanding Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrant in the bail amount of $1,216.60. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. 
  • DUI and Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, August 27, 2017, at 7:45 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to Route 9 and Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River, for a two-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of one of the drivers, identified as 35-year-old Jack Hall, of Willow Lane in Forked River for DUI. In addition, two (2) outstanding warrants were located for his arrest. Warrant number one (1) was issued from the Beachwood Municipal Court in the bail amount of $500, and warrant number two (2) was issued from the Stafford Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $639. Jack Hall was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Driving with a Suspended License, Unregistered Vehicle and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. In addition, Jack Hall was released ROR on both warrants. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. The crash remains under investigation and additional charges are forthcoming.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 12:29 p.m., Officer Brian Holt conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Bank of America located at 711 Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 41-year-old Justin Lach, of West Chelsea Avenue in Ocean Gate, NJ, on an outstanding Wall Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Justin Lach was released after posting bail.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 9:22 a.m., Officer Michael Hein observed a suspicious vehicle near Eno’s Pond County Park in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 28-year-old George Hernandez, of Memorial Drive in Asbury Park, NJ, on an outstanding Patterson Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $750. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was released ROR by the Patterson Municipal Court.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Friday, August 25, 2017, at 10:32 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop on Lakeside Drive East and Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old Robert Prosperi Jr., of Enterprise Drive in Forked River, on an outstanding Ocean Township (Waretown) Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $89. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Robert Prosperi Jr.,was released after posting his bail.
  • Drug Arrest – On Friday, August 25, 2017, at 9:04 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the wooded area near Maxim Drive and Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger, 22-year-old Melissa Allen-Bey, of Schooner Avenue in Barnegat, NJ, for Possession of CDS. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Melissa Allen-Bey was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of CDs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The 17-year-old female driver from Ocean Township (Waretown) NJ, was issued a traffic summons for Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
  • Criminal Mischief – On Friday, August 25, 2017, at 7:16 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the intersection of Portsmouth Drive and Hastings Drive in Forked River, for a report of criminal mischief to a stop sign. The stop-sign was bent downward making it extremely dangerous to motorists. The damage to the sign was estimated at $50. The sign was repaired by the Lacey Township Department of Public Works.

  • Shoplifting – on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 3:16 p.m., Officer John D. Simonson responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 24-year-old Joseph P. Sinopoli of Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $13.99. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Joseph P. Sinopoli was released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.
  • Burglary and Theft (Residence) – On Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 1:27 p.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the 1900 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River for a theft. The complainant reported that between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. on August 23, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered his residence and stole a black LG Smart Phone valued at $100 from a dresser drawer in his bedroom. The incident remains under investigation.
  • Shoplifting – On Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 11:52 a.m., Officer Charles May responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Michael B. Morgan of James Street in Toms River, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $197. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Michael B. Morgan was released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.
  • Criminal Mischief – On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 7:33 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the 2400 block of Lake Drive in Forked River, for a report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that at approximately 12:00 a.m. on August 22, 2017, he witnessed a vehicle slow down in front of his residence and a passenger in the vehicle struck the mailbox with a baseball bat. The vehicle then left the area. The damage to the mailbox is estimated at $20. No description was provided.   
  • Warrant Arrest – On Monday, August 21, 2017, at 9:29 p.m., Officers Christopher Meyler and Anthony Sarno responded to the 2100 block of Hollywood Drive in Forked River, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 36-year-old Robert J. Charlie of Serpentine Drive East in Bayville, NJ, on an outstanding Toms River Township Municipal Court no-bail warrant. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Robert Charlie was turned over to the custody of the Toms River Township Police Department.
  • DUI Arrest – On Monday, August 21, 2017, at 4:27 p.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a traffic stop on Lake Barnegat Drive North near Steuben Avenue in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 34-year-old Robert D. Hergert of Ward Place in Florham Park, NJ, for DUI.   He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Robert D. Hergert was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Drug Arrest – On Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 11:18 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno observed an occupied suspicious vehicle parked in the west parking lot of Clune Park, located at 740 Sandyhook Drive in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male juvenile from Forked River, for possession of CDS. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. The juvenile male was charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less. In addition, he received traffic summonses for CDS in a Motor Vehicle and a Provisional Drivers License Violation. The juvenile male was turned over to the custody of his father.
  • Shoplifting and Assault – On Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 11:35 a.m., Officers Darrell Nick and Brian Holt responded to Lacey Marine, located at 308 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report a shoplifting. The store employee observed the suspect conceal $139.98 worth of store merchandise in his shorts and upon confronting the suspect the store employee was assaulted. The suspect then fled the scene in a pickup truck. A description was provided and a short time later Officer Daniel Ricciardella located the pickup truck on Davenports Landing in Forked River, and conducted a traffic stop. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old Frank O. Pulido, Jr., of Wynnewood Road in Forked River, NJ for the Shoplifting and assault. Frank Pulido, Jr was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was charged on a criminal warrant with one count of Robbery, for utilizing force during a theft. In addition, Frank Pulido, Jr was issued traffic summonses for Driving with a Suspended License, Reckless Driving, Failure to Stop, Failure to Signal, and Failure to Change Address on his Driver’s License. Frank Pulido, Jr was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
  • DUI Arrest – On Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 1:38 a.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a traffic stop on Adolphus Street near Briggs Avenue North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 36-year-old Jesus Morales-Lezama of Adolphus Street in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Jesus Morales-Lezama was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Unlicensed Driver, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 9:52 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop on Beach Boulevard near Cape Cod Drive in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 38-year-old Ryan A. Burlew of Oakwood Drive in Forked River, on an outstanding Colts Neck Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $1000. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Ryan A. Burlew was released after posting bail. In addition, he received a traffic summons for Maintenance of Lamps.
  • Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 9:29 p.m., Officers Scott Keefe responded to the 1900 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River for a disturbance. During the investigation, 40-year-old Nicole Norris of Deerhead Lake Drive was arrested on two outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Toms River Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $750, and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Berkeley Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $670. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. She was later turned over to the custody of the Toms River Township Police Department.
  • Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 11:09 a.m., Officers Brian Holt and John D. Simonson responded to the 2300 block of Maple Road in Forked River. 51-year-old Todd Plessis was arrested on three outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued from the Barnegat Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $150 and warrant number two (2) was issued from the Cherry Hill Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $306. Warrant number three (3) was also issued from the Cherry Hill Township Municipal Court and was in the bail amount of $267. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Todd Plessis was released ROR by both courts.
  • DUI with Motor Vehicle Crash (Arrest) – On Friday, August 18, 2017, at 6:39 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Brian Holt responded to the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a suspicious person. The caller reported that a male subject in silver Toyota Corolla was driving around the parking lot of Walmart and was screaming at customers. Upon arrival Officer Verwey observed the vehicle travel behind Walmart and crash into the building. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 51-year-old Aidan Hogan of White Oak Lane in Old Bridge, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Aidan Hogan was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Improper Backing, and Failure to Stop for an Emergency Vehicle. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • DUI Arrest – On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 5:52 a.m., Officers Dimitrios Tsarnas and John Cernek conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road near the intersection of Dover Road in Forked River. Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas’s investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 61-year-old Alan Candeletti of Olds Street in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Fraud (Credit Card) – On Monday, August 14, 2017, at 11:39 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to Lacey Headquarters located at 808 Lacey Road, Forked River, for a credit card fraud. Investigation at the scene revealed that the Lacey Township Resident had been a victim of credit card fraud involving her Kohl’s account. A purchase in the amount of $754.15 was falsely charged to her account from Kohl’s store in Easton Pennsylvania on July 10, 2017. The matter is under investigation.
  • Theft – On Monday, August 14, 2017, at 6:25 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the Lacey Shell Station located at 922 Lacey Road, Forked River, for a theft report. Investigation at the scene revealed that an employee of the gas station had left a five gallon gas can behind the dumpster at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017. When he returned at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017, the can was gone. The gas can was valued at $20.00.
  • Burglary – Residential – On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 7:14 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Christopher Meyler responded to the 400 block of Center Street, Forked River, for a report of an open door. Investigation at the scene revealed that the front door appeared to have been forced open. The residence was checked and found to be vacant. Attempts to reach the property owner were unsuccessful. At this time it is unknown if anything was taken and the matter is still under investigation.
  • Warrant(s) Arrest – On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 2:13 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari observed a suspicious male in the neighborhood of Oxford Road/Drexel Road Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 28-year-old Carmine R. Sperrazza, of Freehold Road, Toms River, New Jersey, on the following outstanding warrants: (1) Traffic Warrant for driving while suspended out of Berkeley Township in the bail amount of $1,129; (2) Traffic Warrant for driving while suspended out of Wall Township in the bail amount of $1,273; (3) Criminal Warrant for possession of prescription legend drugs out of Toms River in the bail amount of $500; and (4) Criminal Warrant for noise/fireworks out of Belmar Borough in the amount of $257. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and transported to the Toms River Police Department, who assumed his custody.
  • Underage Public Consumption of Alcohol Arrest – On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 2:05 a.m., Officers Jason Lee and Michael Verwey responded to the Ocean Beach Marina located at 700 Barramore Avenue, Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a fight. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 20-year-old Roger J. Corrales, 3rd, of Brigantine Road in Manahawkin, New Jersey, for Underage Consumption of Alcohol. He was issued a special complaint summons and released.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 12:18 a.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop by the area of Beach Boulevard and Biscayne Drive, Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 24-year-old Erika L. Fratello of Carteret Avenue in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, on an outstanding warrant for Driving While Suspended out of Seaside Heights in the bail amount of $350. She was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.
  • Theft – Bicycle – On Friday, August 11, 2017, at 11:18 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the Walmart located at 580 Route 9 North, Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a stolen bicycle. Investigation at the scene revealed that the owner had left her bicycle outside of the Walmart and when she exited the store, her bicycle was gone. The bicycle is a white beach cruiser with blue detailing and a blue basket in front of the handlebars and is valued at approximately $120. Video surveillance was provided along with photos of the suspect who remains at large.
  • CDS Arrest – On Friday, August 11, 2017, at 8:07 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari observed a vehicle parked on the northern most side of Cedar Creek School located at 220 Western Boulevard, Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 22-year-old Vincenzo A. Rotella, of Mehar Court, Toms River, New Jersey, for possession of CDS. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after being served with criminal summonses for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Criminal Mischief/ Residence – On Friday, August 11, 2017, at 2:40 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the 700 block of Oxford Road in Lanoka Harbor for a report of criminal mischief. Investigation at the scene revealed that the glass of the front storm door of the residence had been broken. No entry was made into the residence and the property owner was advised. Damage to the storm door was valued at $100.00.
  • Theft – On Friday, August 11, 2017, at 2:31 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to the 500 block of Chelsea Street, Forked River, for a theft report. Investigation at the scene revealed that the caller was inside her residence when she observed an older model red or brown two-door pickup truck backed in to her driveway. A white, blond female approximately 40-years-old and 130 pounds wearing a black shirt exited the truck and proceeded to take a window room air conditioner, which had been on the ground between her two closed garage doors. The woman then placed the air conditioner in the bed of her truck and left the residence. The air conditioner is valued at approximately $100. The suspect remains at large.
