Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – February 15th, through February 21st, 2019
- Carbon Monoxide Alarm – On Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 10:20 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the area of Neosho Drive for an alarm sounding. The fire department was dispatched to the scene. Investigation by the fire department found the alarm to be faulty.
- Theft – On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 10:20 p.m., Officer Robert Duffy responded to police headquarters to take a report of theft. The complainant reported that his 2004 Pace “Summit” enclosed black trailer was removed from his vacant residence on Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River. The complainant believes the trailer was taken between 2:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. The complainant stated that approximately $10,000 in construction equipment was inside the trailer. The trailer is valued at $5,000.00.
- Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 4:11 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to police headquarters and processed 26-year-old Sean Cox of Jay Street, Forked River for and outstanding Lacey Township warrant in the amount of $500. Sean Cox was processed and released after posting the bail.
- Shoplifting Arrest – On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 6:15 p.m., Officers Brian Holt and Andrew Slota responded to Kohl’s on Route 9 North in Forked River for a report of a shoplifting in progress. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 31-year-old Latonya M. Marsh of Elizabeth Avenue, Bayville, NJ, for concealing numerous articles of clothing on her person and inside her purse. The total value of the recovered merchandise is $315. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Latonya Marsh was released after receiving a summons for shoplifting.
- Vehicle Burglary – On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 8:54 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the corner of Island View Drive and Riverview Drive in Forked River for a report of a motor vehicle burglary. The caller reported that he parked his unlocked vehicle down the street from his residence at 10:45 p.m. due to the likelihood of flooding on Monday night. When he went to his vehicle at 9:00 a.m. the next morning, he realized his vehicle had been entered. Medication and approximately $13 was stolen from the vehicle.
- CDS Possession – On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 4:27 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a business check at Walmart on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor where he located a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to that arrest of 32-year-old Jesse R. Gibson, of Holmes Avenue North, Forked River, for possession of CDS. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Jesse Gibson was charged on a criminal complaint summons with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Prescription Medication, and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. He was processed and released on a complaint-summons.
- Warrant Arrest – On Monday, February 18, 2019, at 11:23 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel was dispatched to the area of Oak Road and Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old Lauren M. Keller of Oak Road, Lanoka Harbor, on an outstanding no bail warrant out of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department. Lauren Keller was transported to police headquarters and turned over to Passaic County Sheriff’s Officers in lieu of bail.
- Fraud – On Monday, February 18, 2019, at 1:38 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Lane in Forked River to take a report of computer fraud. The complainant reported that she received a phone call from what she believed to be a Comcast employee. The unknown caller explained that her computer IP address had been compromised and that their tech service department would correct the problems and check for suspicious activity. A short time later, the subject called her back and advised her that he found several attempts to access her accounts. She was asked to purchase $450 in Google Pay cards and provide the card information to him to which she complied. She was advised that he would continue to work on the computer problems and he would call her back on Sunday, February 17, 2019. On Sunday, when the subject called back, he told her he found more problems and requested additional money to fix them. At this point, she realized that something was suspicious. She contacted her financial institutions and froze her accounts. She was advised to monitor her credit for the next few months for any suspicious activity.
- Residential Burglary – On Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 5:03 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the 200 block of Barramore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor for a report of a residential burglary. The victim stated that she left her residence at 2:00 p.m. on February 14, 2019. When she returned home, she found a window open in the spare bedroom. Approximately $100 in silver dollars, $75 in Sacajawea dollars, and $25 in loose change were stolen. The total value of the theft is approximately $200. The incident remains under investigation.
- Criminal Mischief – On Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 8:13 p.m., Officers Martin Julian and Christopher Meyler responded to the 1700 block of Binnacle Road, Forked River. The complainants reported that a male was banging on their front door. The male punched a hole in the door’s double pane window and then punched a hole in the plastic mailbox and left the area. The damage is estimated at $250.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – February 8th, through February 14th, 2019
- Fire Alarm – On Thursday, February 14, 2019, at2:32 p.m., Officer John Simonson responded to the area of Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a fire alarm. Investigation at the scene revealed that the detector was faulty.
- Theft – On Thursday, February 14, 2019, at11:03 a.m., Officers Randolph Plis and Daniel Ricciardella responded to the area of Center Street in Forked River for some type of dispute in progress. Investigation at the scene revealed that the subject was angry over an unknown person(s) stealing her lap top book bag. The bag is worth approximately $18.00.
- Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 5:39 p.m., Officers Anthony Sarno and Patrick Watkins were dispatched to the 200 block of Falkenburg Avenue in Forked River for a dispute. Investigation at the scene revealed 35-year-old Christopher J. Martorina had an outstanding warrant out of Lacey Township Municipal Court in the amount of $483. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was processed and released on his own recognizance.
- Fraud – On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 8:22 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraud. The complainant reported that she believes her ex-boyfriend gained access to her account and transferred $70 into his bank account. The complainant was advised to change her password and security questions to prevent further fraudulent activity.
- MVA – On Monday, February 11, 2019, at 11:37 p.m., Officers Robert Duffy and Elton Copes responded to the area of the Cedar Bridge Fire Tower on Route 539 and Bryant Road in Forked River for a report of an overturned motor vehicle with the driver trapped inside. The 57-year-old male from Little Egg Harbor was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital.
- MVA – On Monday, February 11, 2019, at 6:35 p.m., Officers Elton Copes, Andrew Slota, Jason Lee, and Sergeant George Resetar responded to Route 9 North and Musket Road in Lanoka Harbor for a two-car collision where one of the vehicles was overturned. Lacey Township First Aid arrived, rendered care, and later transported both drivers, a 29-year-old female from Waretown and a 19-year-old female from Forked River, to the hospital.
- Warrant Arrest – On Monday, February 11, 2019, at 1:09 p.m., Officer Frederick Anderson conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 52-year-old Tammy M. Perreault of Spar Drive, Forked River, on an outstanding warrant from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department with a cash purge of $14,817. She was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
- Multiple Vehicle Burglaries/Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 8:58 p.m., Officers Jason Lee and Jesse Dalziel responded to Normandie Drive in Forked River for a report of an unknown subject entering parked cars. Investigation at the scene led Officer Dalziel to observe a subject fitting the description of the suspected car burglar inside Wendy’s on Route 9 in Forked River. The subject, identified as 25-year-old Jason L. Jurczyk of Leeward Court, Bayville, NJ, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Seaside Heights Municipal Court in the amount of $450. Jason Jurczyk was arrested and charged with multiple counts of 3rd degree burglary, along with theft of moveable property. He was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in accordance with bail reform.
- Vehicle Burglary – On Friday, February 8, 2019, at 5:41 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River for a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim stated that while she was working at the CVS on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, unknown person(s) entered her vehicle and stole an iPhone charger and $260 in cash and gift cards. The total theft is estimated at $440.
- Vehicle Burglary – On Friday, February 8, 2019, at 9:16 a.m., Officer John McKee responded to the 300 block of Conifer Drive in Forked River to take a report of theft. The victim reported that sometime between 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, and 7:15 a.m. on Friday, February 8, unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole medical equipment owned by Hackensack Meridan, and her stethoscope and nursing bag. The total value of the theft is estimated at $420.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – February 1, through February 7, 2019
- Traffic Accident – On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 10:31 a.m., Officer Michael Hutman responded to the area of the 400 block of Penn Ave N for a report of a single car motor vehicle accident into a tree. The male driver was identified as a 67-year-old Waretown resident. He appeared to have lost control of the vehicle in the parking lot of 422 Lacey Road and drove it into the yard (411 Penn Ave N) striking the mailbox, a lawn ornament, a motorcycle trailer, a section of fence and eventually a tree in the backyard. The driver displayed signs of possible head trauma and was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center. It is believed that the driver was in some type of medical distress prior to the accident occurring.
- Debit Card Fraud – On Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 12:21 p.m., Officer Darrell Nick responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraud. The complainant stated on January 30, 2019, he received an email from his bank (Ocean First) that a fraud detection flag was placed on his debit card in the amount of $3,500.00. Ocean First bank’s security division was able to stop the transaction before it occurred. The complainant did not lose any money from the account.
- Credit Card Fraud – On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 6:14 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraud. The complainant stated that on the morning of February 4, 2019, she learned from her bank that an unknown person used her credit card to make numerous purchases totaling approximately $198. Investigation into the incident found that a family member used the credit card to make the purchases. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges.
- Criminal Mischief (Graffiti) – On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 12:38 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the 600 block of Tappan Street in Forked River for criminal mischief to a residence. The walls in the house had graffiti marks all over them. The marks appeared to have been done with some type of marker. The cost of the criminal mischief is estimated at approximately $2000.
- Residential Burglary – On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 11:19 a.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the 1400 block of Jay Street in Forked River for a report of theft. The caller reported that a Yamaha Raptor quad runner was stolen from an unlocked shed located in the backyard. The quad was last observed on February 3, 2019. The estimated value of the quad is $3000.
- Fraud – On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 10:50 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to police headquarters for a report of a suspicious incident. The complainant stated that he had been looking for employment on the internet and received a potential job offer from a male stating he was in New York City. The unknown male promised the complainant to pay off his credit card debt if he would shop for items in New York City and ship them to Europe. Realizing that this may be a scam, he went to his bank, who advised the complainant to contact the authorities.
- Fire Alarm – On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 8:50 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the area of Haines Street for an activation of a fire alarm. The complainant stated that he was unable to detect any fire or smoke in his home. It was determined by the fire company that the fire alarm may need to be replaced.
- Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 10:16 p.m., 22-year-old Victoria M. Espinal of Housen Street, Manchester, NJ, turned herself in on four outstanding arrest warrants out of the following jurisdictions – Lacey Township, Atlantic City, Howell Township, and Galloway Township. Victoria Espinal had a No Bail warrant out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department for an incident in Lacey Township. Officer Jesse Dalziel transported Victoria Espinal to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
- DUI Arrest – On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 12:58 p.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the area of Ensign Drive in Forked River for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 69-year-old Ronald B. Carloni of Larchmont Street, Toms River, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Ronald Carloni was released after receiving motor vehicle summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Careless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 1:29 p.m., Special Officer Austin Deane was dispatched to Lacey Car Wash & Quick Lube on Route 9 North in Forked River for a complaint of a disturbance in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 31-year-old Nicholas J. Listorti of Bowling Green Drive, Toms River, NJ, on outstanding warrants. The first warrant was out of Lakewood Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000 along with a warrant from Toms River Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Nicholas Listorti also received a summons for driving while suspended. After posting bail, he was released on his own recognizance.
- Criminal Mischief Vehicle – On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 10:51 a.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the 1200 block of Polaris Court in Forked River for a report of damage to a vehicle. An unknown person broke the driver’s side mirror of his vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. The caller stated that he believes the incident happened between the hours of midnight and 1:00 a.m., Sunday morning. The estimated value of the damage is $300.
- Suspicious Person – On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 12:44 a.m., Officers Robert Duffy and Martin Julian responded to the area of Cypress Street and Tamarack Road for a suspicious male subject yelling in the roadway. The subject was dropped off by an Uber and was waiting for a friend to pick him up. The subject’s friend arrived while speaking to officers and he left the area without incident.
- Fire (Residence) – On Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10:15 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the 200 block of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor for a report of an oven fire. Lanoka Harbor Fire Department responded to scene and deemed that the grease fire was extinguished prior to their arrival. No damage was reported to the home.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – January 25 through January 31, 2019
- Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 12:17 a.m., Officers Anthony Sarno and Scott Keefe located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Wawa, located on Laurel Avenue and Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger, 34-year-old Lauren Keller of Seaside Park, NJ, on two outstanding Paterson Municipal Court warrants with bail totaling $1000, along with a Hunterdon County No Bail Warrant. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Lauren Keller was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident.
- Fraud – On Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 1:01 p.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraud. The 73-year-old woman reported that she sold a painting on line for $210. The buyer sent her a cashier’s check for $1965. At the request of the buyer, she cashed the check and agreed to send the buyer back the difference of $1755 using an app by the name of Zelle. She complied and the next day TD Bank notified her that her account was overdrawn. The bank advised her that the cashier’s check turned out to be fraudulent. The victim put a stop payment on the check before the funds were released to the buyer and the woman was not out any money.
- DUI and Warrant Arrest – On Monday, January 28, 2019, at 10:31 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road in Bamber Lake. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 23-year-old Amber L. Thomas of Good Luck Road in Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Amber Thomas was released after received motor vehicle summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, and Speeding. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Additionally, the passenger in the vehicle, 49-year-old Laurie Harrison of Good Luck Road in Forked River, was arrested on three Lacey Township Municipal Court warrants with bail totaling $1250. She was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident.
- Shoplifting Arrest – On Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 12:29 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Bethany B. Norris of Grant Avenue in Seaside Heights, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $212. During her arrest, Norris was found in possession of medication not issued by a practitioner. Bethany Norris was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was released after receiving a criminal summons for shoplifting and possession of CDS.
- DUI Arrest – On Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 1:16 a.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lakeside Drive East and Marine Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 25-year-old Michael R. Buron of Parkers Point Boulevard in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Michael Buron was released after receiving motor vehicle summonses for DUI, Speeding, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, January 26, 2019, Officer Jason Lee conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North near Nautilus Boulevard in Forked River. The driver, 34-year-old Patricia M. Clayton of Ocean Gate, NJ, was arrested on an active South Toms River Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $350. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Patricia Clayton was later released on her own recognizance by the South Toms River Municipal Court.
- DUI Arrest with Motor Vehicle Crash – On Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 3:36 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 600 block of Williams Avenue in Forked River for a Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Crash. Officers Scott Anderson and Andrew Slota also responded. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver, 55-year-old Celeste A. Flanagan of Williams Avenue in Forked River for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Celeste Flanagan was released after receiving motor vehicle summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Refusal to Submit Breath Testing, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Accident. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Fraud – On Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 2:19 p.m., Officer Scott Anderson responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraud. The complainant reported that an employee from Ocean First Bank contacted her stating that the bank was contacted approximately 15 times by a woman claiming to be the victim. The unknown woman provided personal information, including a social security number, wishing to withdraw funds from her bank account. The bank froze the account after seeing suspicious charges from Florida. The incident is under investigation.
- Forgery and Theft by Deception – On Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 12:57 p.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the Wawa, located on Taylor Lane and Route 9 South in Forked River for a report of counterfeit $100 bills being passed at the gas pump and inside the store. The subjects left prior to officers arriving. A description of the vehicle was provided. A short time later the Berkeley Township Police Department located the vehicle at the Sand Castle Diner in Beachwood, NJ. Beachwood and Berkeley Township Police Departments identified the occupants as 46-year-old John E. Dew of Route 166 in Toms River, NJ, and 47-year-old Irwin F. Greene of Washington Road in Sayreville, NJ. Further investigation revealed that both subjects had active warrants. They were arrested by the Berkeley Township Police Department and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility. Officer Abrecht charged John Dew with Forgery and Theft by Deception and Irwin Greene with Forgery, for the incidents in Lacey Township.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – January 18 through January 24, 2019
- Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 8:38 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road in the Ocean First Bank parking lot. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 44-year-old David Sikora, of Beach Boulevard in Forked River, on an outstanding Beachwood Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $200. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. David Sikora was later released on his own recognizance.
- Trespassing and Warrant Arrest – On Monday, January 21, 2019, at 8:22 p.m., Officers Scott Keefe and Patrick Watkins responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a suspicious incident. A male subject climbed the fence and kicked open the door in the garden center setting off the alarm. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 33-year-old Roger J. Hanson of Nautilus Drive in Waretown, NJ, for Trespassing. In addition, he was found to have an outstanding Atlantic City Municipal Court warrant with a bail amount of $500. Roger Hanson was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was charged on a complaint summons with defiant trespassing. Roger Hanson was released on his own recognizance by the Atlantic City Municipal Court.
- Shoplifting Arrest – On Monday, January 21, 2019, at 6:03 p.m., Officers Randolph Plis and Anthony Sarno responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a report of a shoplifter leaving in a vehicle. Upon arrival the officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle which was still in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 49-year-old Michele Sapanaro, of Bryant Road in Waretown, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $443. She was also found to be in the possession of hypodermic syringe. Michele Sapanaro was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was charged with Shoplifting and Possession of a Syringe and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a hearing. In addition, she received a traffic summons for driving with a suspended license.
- Credit Card Fraud – On Monday, January 21, 2019, at 4:38 p.m., Officer Randolph Plis responded to Brick Avenue in Lanoka Harbor to take a report of credit card fraud. The victim received notification in the mail stating she owed over $2000 on a Walmart credit card she never opened. In addition, the victim revealed that an unknown person also opened a JC Penny credit card with her information but it was never utilized.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 10:58 a.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella responded to police headquarters to take a report of a motor vehicle burglary. The complainant stated that during the overnight hours of January 18, 2019, someone entered her unlocked vehicle parked in her driveway on Lake Barnegat Drive North. The suspect removed items including an FM transmitter, flashlight, multi-tool, and loose change, totaling $55.
- Theft – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 6:09 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the 200 block of Lane Place in Forked River, for a report of a stolen bicycle. The victim reported that earlier in the day, around 4:15 p.m., an unknown person stole his Mongoose BMX bicycle from his front yard. The bicycle is valued at $80.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 3:22 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to police headquarters in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The complainant stated that at approximately 4:45 a.m. on January 19, 2019, an unknown person(s) entered his and his wife’s unlocked vehicles that were parked in their driveway on Lake Barnegat Drive North and stole a pair of Panama Jack sunglasses valued at $200.
- Theft – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 2:55 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a theft. The victim reported that after she went shopping in the store, she loaded her vehicle and realized that she left her purse behind in the shopping cart. She went to customer service where they returned the purse after someone turned it in. The victim went through her purse to find that its contents and $100 cash had been removed. The incident remains under investigation.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 1:11 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to headquarters in reference to a theft from a vehicle that occurred on Hill Top Drive in Lanoka Harbor. The complainant stated that on the morning of January 19, 2019, at approximately 5:30 a.m., she entered her vehicle and found the contents to be strewn about. Approximately $10 in loose change and three headbands, valued at $15 each, were stolen. The vehicle was left unlocked and parked in the driveway of the residence. - Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11:05 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to Emerald Court in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The complainant reported that during the overnight hours of January 19, 2019, an unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the street in front of his residence and stole approximately $2.50 in loose change.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 10:41 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the 600 block of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Lanoka Harbor, for two separate thefts from vehicles. The victim stated that between the evening hours of January 18, 2019, and the morning hours of January 19, 2019, an unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicles that were parked in the driveway and stole loose change.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, at 10:23 a.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to Emerald Court in Lanoka Harbor, for a theft from a vehicle. The complainant stated that between the hours of 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 and the morning of January 19, 2019, an unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway and stole approximately $5.00 in loose change.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 9:35 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to Emerald Court in Lanoka Harbor, for a theft from a vehicle. The complainant stated that between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., an unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole $5.00 in loose change.
- Burglary (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 8:59 a.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to the 700 block of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Lanoka Harbor for a theft from a vehicle. The complainant stated that during the overnight hours of January 18, 2019 into January 19, 2019, an unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicles that were parked in the driveway. The contents of the center consoles and gloveboxes were strewn about. The complaint advised that nothing of monetary value appeared to be missing.
- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 8:52 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to police headquarters to take a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The complainant stated that during the overnight hours of January 18, 2019 into January 19, 2019, an unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicle that was parked in his driveway of his residence on Emerald Court in Lanoka Harbor and stole a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $100, a cable charger valued at $10, and two Carhartt sweatshirts valued at $50 each. The total theft is valued at $210.
- Warrant Arrest – On Friday, January 18, 2019, at 9:33 a.m. Officers Dimitrios Tsarnas and Noah Schaffer responded to the 1400 block of Jay Street in Forked River, for a report of possible trespassers. The occupants produced written permission to be inside. Investigation at the scene revealed that one occupant, 40-year-old Heather M. Oneill-Deller of Chestnut Way Circle in Barnegat, NJ, had two Toms River Township Municipal Court warrants totaling $750. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Heather M. Oneill-Deller was later released on her own recognizance.
