Social Media Presentation: On Wednesday, May 18th, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. sharp to 7:30 p.m., Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D., will be conducting a one-hour presentation for parents on the Internet, cell phone applications, and social media. The presentation will include real-life examples of what the youth of today are facing. This presentation is being offered to parents of Lacey School District students only. Parents are encouraged to attend and learn the current threats and concerns that the Internet, cell phone applications, and social media pose to the youth today. No recording (video or audio) will be permitted at the event. Likewise, no students are permitted due to the content being covered.
This presentation is being sponsored by the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation who will be providing refreshments as well.
Parents who attend will receive an Internet and Social Media Awareness brochure which was authored by Chief Paprota as well as a Parents’ Guide to Online Safety as sponsored by the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation.
