Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Structure Fire - On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 5:36 p.m., Officers Elton Copes, Jason Lee, and Scott Anderson responded to the 2000 block of Crestwood Drive in Forked River for a structure fire with flames coming from the garage. Local Fire Departments arrived and extinguished the fire. The Ocean County Fire Marshall was on scene to investigate. The fire may have started from cigarette ashes. Fraud – On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 4:55 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to headquarters to take a report of fraud. The complainant reported that an unknown person opened a Macy’s Credit card in her name and charged $300 to the card. The case remains under investigation. Check Fraud – On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 4:52 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraud. The complainant reported that he wrote a personal check to a law firm and when it was deposited, it appeared to be altered changing to amount to $2500. Chase Bank was notified. CDS/Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at 11:33 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel while patrolling the area near Game Farm Road and Route 9 North in Forked River stopped a male subject on a bicycle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 29-year-old Christopher Cox of Jay Street, Forked River, for having outstanding warrants out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department totaling $40,393 and warrants from Robbinsville Municipal Court in the amount of $1150, Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $500, and Seaside Heights Municipal Court in the amount of $250. Search incident to arrest, Christopher Cox was found to be in possession of Heroin, Xanax, Valium, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Christopher Cox was arrested, processed, and charged criminally. He was transferred to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Suspicious Person– On Monday, February 25, 2019, at 10:46 a.m., Officers Noah Schaffer and Alan Abrecht responded to Walmart on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor after receiving a call from the Loss Prevention Officer for a customer harassing employees. Carbon Monoxide Alarm – On Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 10:20 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the area of Neosho Drive for an alarm sounding. The fire department was dispatched to the scene. Investigation by the fire department found the alarm to be faulty. Theft – On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 10:20 p.m., Officer Robert Duffy responded to police headquarters to take a report of theft. The complainant reported that his 2004 Pace “Summit” enclosed black trailer was removed from his vacant residence on Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River. The complainant believes the trailer was taken between 2:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. The complainant stated that approximately $10,000 in construction equipment was inside the trailer. The trailer is valued at $5,000.00. Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 4:11 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to police headquarters and processed 26-year-old Sean Cox of Jay Street, Forked River for and outstanding Lacey Township warrant in the amount of $500. Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Friday, January 6, 2017, at 5:00 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Charles May responded to the 700 block of Briar Road in Lanoka Harbor, to serve two outstanding warrants. Upon arrival the officers arrested 24-year-old Kyle Pianetti of Briar Road in Lanoka Harbor, on two (2) outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court Warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued in the bail amount of $500.00 and warrant number two (2) was issued in the bail amount of $539.00. Kyle Pianetti was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. Shoplifting – On Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 4:58 p.m., Officer George Resetar responded to Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifting. The loss prevention employee reported that approximately an hour prior to contacting the police, a female subject was observed on security video putting three (3) Nest Thermostats and a bag into a shopping cart. Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 9:51 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to 540 Lacey Road for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 56-year-old passenger, James E. Grove of Letts Landing Road, Waretown, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant for 39:4-50 out of Ocean Township. Grove was transported to police headquarters and processed for the warrant with bail in the amount of $100.00. He was released after posting bail. Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 10:03 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 near Taylor Lane for a driver with a suspended license. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 47-year-old Ronald Johnson of Central Avenue, Waretown, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant for 39:4-56 out of Sayreville Borough. Johnson was transported to police headquarters and processed for the warrant with bail in the amount of $139.00. Ronald Johnson was released after posting bail. Shoplifting - On Friday, December 23, 2016, at 9:21 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male shoplifter who fled the store. Officer Dalziel was further advised that the suspect was at the bus stop on the corner of Route 9 and Haines Street. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old Jonathan A. White of Potomac Court in Barnegat, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $263.15. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Jonathan White was released after receiving a criminal summons for shoplifting. Shoplifting - On Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 2:34 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old Lauren C. Prowse of Drew Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $34.15.
