Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Elf Officer Justice – December 10th, 2020
Day 10: Elf. Officer Justice has completed his shift today and is assisting with refueling the patrol vehicle. The gas pumps are often a rewarding sight for patrol officers. As officers refuel periodically during their shifts, refueling our vehicles typically comes at the end of the shift, which is a little over 11 hours.

Day 9: As we pride ourselves on the history of the Lacey Township Police Department, and the fine officers who have come before us, Elf Officer Justice paid his respects to those officers who are no longer with us. Two of those officers are: Identification Officer James E. Stockton Jr.,#18, and Officer William A. Trainor #32. Both officers‘ untimely passing came while off duty, however, both were active members of the Lacey Township Police Department. Both men played a strong role toward advancing our agency as a whole, in addition to building stronger community relations. We will always honor and remember these men, in addition to the contributions they made to better our community.
Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Elf Officer Justice – December 8th, 2020
Day 8: Today, Elf Officer Justice visited our Police Department Records Bureau. The Records Bureau, and our clerical staff, are an essential part toward the daily operations of our police department, especially in regards to distributing reports and public information. Justice enjoyed his time with our Clerical Staff today, and his first use of a copy machine.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – April 10th through April 16th, 2020
Shoplifting- On Friday, April 10, 2020, at 10:01 a.m., Officers Matthew D’Antonio and Scott Anderson responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred earlier this date. Loss prevention officers reported approximately $670 in diapers and baby furniture stolen by two unknown females. Arrest- On Friday, April 10, 2020, at 11:53 a.m., Officers Matthew D’Antonio and Scott Anderson arrested Robert Charlie for outstanding warrants totaling $3,500. Charlie was released on his own recognizance after satisfying bails set by the Brick and Jackson Township Municipal Courts. Fire- On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 1:43 p.m., Officers Andrew Slota and Alan Abrecht responded to Clearview Street for a report of a fire. The fire apparently originated in bushes at the property line of two homes spreading to a vinyl fence and causing damage to one of the home’s siding. The Forked River Fire Department and the Ocean County Fire Marshal responded. DWI- On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 8:54 p.m., police headquarters received a call of a male subject slumped over in his vehicle on Beach Boulevard. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – April 2nd through April 9th, 2020
Theft- On Thursday, April 2, 2020, at 10:14 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to Eric Plaza, 336 Lacey Road, in reference to a theft. A business owner there reported that an unknown suspect cut the catalytic converter from his vehicle while it was parked in the lot. The damage is estimated at $1,000. Criminal Mischief- On Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 12:38 p.m., Officer Michael Hutman was dispatched to a Borealis Court home. The homeowner reported that sometime over the prior three days, an unknown person forced entry into his home and damaged the rear door of his residence. Nothing appeared stolen from inside. The damage is estimated at $200. Arrest- On Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 12:55 p.m., Officers Randolph Plis and Michael Hutman responded to a Lake Barnegat Drive residence in reference to a disturbance. During their interactions with the caller, it was determined that Edward Heaton, 22, and Ashley Reynolds, 21, stole the victim’s debit card and withdrew $700. Both Heaton and Reynolds were arrested and charged with Theft of a Credit Card and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – March 26th through April 2, 2020
Theft- On Thursday, March 26, 2020, at 3:24 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota took a theft report from a Forked River resident. The victim reported that after UPS delivered a package, it was stolen from her front porch prior to her retrieving it. The package was valued at $975. Theft- On Friday, March 27, 2020, at 12:10 p.m., Officer Matthew D’Antonio and Michael Verwey responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Through a review of surveillance video and transaction receipts, Loss Prevention confirmed that a customer did not scan an amount of items while in the self-checkout line. The surveillance video was used to identify the actor as Kristen Hansen, 37, of Lanoka Harbor. Hansen was charged with Shoplifting and served with the complaint at her residence. The theft was valued at $297.08. Fraud- On Friday, March 27, 2020, at 7:38 p.m., Officer Brian Holt took a report of a fraudulent credit charge from a Forked River resident. The victim reported that while reviewing a credit card statement, she noticed a $196.89 charge at Walmart that she did not make.
