Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Lacey Township Police Department – Wednesday, April 24, 2013 – Illegal Dumping (Wooded Areas in Lacey Township)
Illegal Dumping of Solid Waste - On Sunday, April 21, 2013, the Forked River Mountain Coalition conducted its annual cleanup efforts in the wooded area west of the Garden State Parkway in Lacey Township. The Lacey Township Police Department provided additional patrols in the woods during the cleanup. During the cleanup, officers observed clear indication that unknown persons are regularly making their way into the Pinelands and dumping solid waste rather than paying the fee to legally dump at the county landfill. Residents are asked to call anytime they see a suspicious vehicle entering the woods with the capacity to carry solid waste. If caught, the offender will be charged with the appropriate laws and most notably, their vehicle will be seized. The Lacey Township Police Department will seek forfeiture of the vehicle under New Jersey law. Offenders will be charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Help from the public in dealing with this matter is greatly appreciated.
