Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Neighborhood Crime Alert – Monday, April 29, 2013 – Sandpiper Drive, Lanoka Harbor
Theft - At 12:30 p.m., a resident of Sandpiper Drive noticed that sometime between January of 2013 and Sunday, April 28, 2013, unknown persons entered her backyard and stole a copper, ship bell, lawn ornament worth over $500. This theft is consistent with other thefts that have occurred related to items that can be sold as "scrap" for a fraction of their actual value. Residents are asked to look out for their neighbors and report any suspicious activities while they are in progress so action can be taken to identify and hold the offenders accountable.
Neighborhood Crime Alert – Monday, April 29, 2013 – Oxgoose Drive, Lanoka Harbor
Burglary of Home - At Noon on Sunday, April 28, 2013, a homeowner reported coming to check on his residence when he discovered that an upstairs window had been broken and a 42 inch, ViewSonic, LCD, flat screen TV valued at $300.00 had been stolen from a wall bracket. The homeowner also noticed a missing jewelry box believed to contain primarily low value costume jewelry. The burglary occurred sometime between December 28, 2012, when the house was last checked by the owner and the day the entry was discovered -- April 28, 2013.
Neighborhood Crime Alert – Saturday, April 27, 2013 – Musket Road, Forked River
Burglary of Home - At 12:43 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2012, a resident of Musket Road (near the Lacey Mall) in Forked River reported a burglary to his home involving a forced entry and the theft of over $8,500 in jewelry. The homeowner stated that between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12 Noon someone forced entry into his residence by smashing a downstairs window while no one was home in the residence. The homeowner stated that when he arrived home at Noon, he heard the front door close. It is possible the suspect(s) was in the residence when the homeowner arrived home.
