Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Neighborhood Crime Alert – Wednesday, May 1, 2013 – G Street, Forked River (Pines Area)
Theft - On Tuesday, April 30, 2013, a resident of G Street in Forked River reported that in the days prior, an unknown person stole a metal towing assembly (receiver) that was positioned on the bed a trailer parked adjacent to the his residence. The victim identified a Chevrolet Suburban that was seen in the area with "scrap" metal in the back of the suspect vehicle during the period the towing assembly was stolen. The matter is currently under investigation.

Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release April 23rd thru April 30th, 2013 . DUI Arrest - At approximately 11:30 p.m., on Monday, April 29, 2013, Officer Charles May conducted a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle for driving without headlamps on Rt. 9 near Taylor Lane. Investigation led to the vehicle’s driver, 33-year-old Matthew Foster of Forked River, being arrested and charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Maintenance of Lamps. Matthew Foster also received a criminal summons for Possession of Handgun Ammunition without first obtaining a New Jersey Firearms Identification Card. Shoplifting Arrest - At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013, Officers Adam Ewart and Jeffrey Slota responded to Walmart for a shoplifter being detained. Upon arrival of the officers, 24-year-old Brittany Gibson of Forked River was arrested for shoplifting. She was charged with shoplifting for attempting to conceal merchandise valued at $187.73 on her person. Brittany Gibson was later processed and released from police headquarters after receiving a criminal summons. Shoplifting Arrest - At approximately 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 28, 2013, Officers Alan Abrecht and Evan Androcy responded to Walmart for a shoplifter being detained. UPDATE – Monday, April 29, 2013 – Power Outage & Restoration
On Monday morning, April 29, 2013, at 9:13 a.m., a significant portion of Lacey Township experienced a temporary power outage coinciding with a voltage regulator failing along Rt. 9 in the JCP&L switch yard adjacent to the power plant property. Several traffic lights were out as well as power to the High School, Mill Pond School, and the Cedar Creek School. The power company (JCP&L)quickly diverted power and restored electricity within 40 minutes. The Lacey Township Police Department and the Forked River Fire Company responded to the transformer site without incident. The transformer/regulator which failed was not part of the Exelon facility but was part of the JCP&L utilities housed on the back of the property to service Lacey Township.
