Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release April 30th thru May 6th, 2013 . Multiply Warrants/Suspended Driver – At approximately 1:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas performed a random inquiry of a vehicle’s license plate. Upon doing so, it was determined that the vehicle’s owner, Eric Kaboski, age 33 of Forked River, had a suspended driver's license and numerous traffic warrants. Eric Kaboski’s vehicle was stopped on Rt. 9 near Oyster Creek, and he was arrested on the strength of the following warrants: Lacey Township - $600; Holmdel - $300; and Ocean Township (Waretown) - $250. Eric Kaboski was transported to police headquarters where he released after posting the required bail and receiving a summons for driving while suspended. Shoplifter – At 12:30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, Officers George Resetar and Andrew Slota responded to Walmart for a shoplifter being detained. Upon their arrival, 32-year-old Tracey Zitzner of Forked River was arrested for shoplifting. She allegedly attempted to conceal merchandise valued at $31.98 on her person. Tracey Zitzner was later processed and released from police headquarters after receiving a criminal summons. Neighborhood Crime Alert (Theft) – Tuesday, May 7, 2013 – Parkside Drive, Forked River (Pines Area)
Theft of Cash & Medications - A resident of Parkside Drive in Forked River reported the theft of $160.00 in cash from her home as well as two bottles of medication consisting of Morphine and Methadone valued at $50.00 each. There was no forced entry to the residence and the possibility exists that one of the varied guests at the residence may have stolen the items.
Traffic Alert – Sunday, May 5, 2013 – Rt. 9 North of Lacey Road (Near Game Farm)
Traffic Delay - Due to a traffic accident on Route 9 in Forked River, there will be delays and temporary detours established for the portion of Route 9 from Lacey Road to near the Lacey Mall. Alternate routes should be used where possible. The obstruction is expected to continue from 9 p.m. to at least 11:30 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2013.
