Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Neighborhood Crime Alert – Friday, May 10, 2013 – Rt.9 & Second Street, Forked River
Burglary of a Vehicle - On May 9, 2013, a business owner at Route 9 and Second Street in Forked River reported that between the late-night/early-morning hours of 1:50 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013, an unknown actor(s) smashed the window of a vehicle thereby gaining access to the contents within the vehicle. Over $300 in damage was done to the vehicle and an unknown value of items possibly stolen from the vehicle.
UPDATE to Police Blotter – Wednesday, May 8, 2013 – Arrest and Charge for Theft of Ring from Home
UPDATE to the Weekly Police Blotter thru May 6, 2013 (https://laceypd.org/weekly-police-blotter/). On May 1, 2013, a Lanoka Harbor resident reported that a ring valued at $840 was stolen from her home. Responding officers found no forced entry and acquired the name of a recent visitor to the home who might be responsible. Detective Ronald Buxton conducted a follow up investigation and recovered the ring after it was sold by 21-year-old Aiden Dolly of Lanoka Harbor. Further investigation revealed that 21-year-old Kyle Pianetti of Lanoka Harbor (the aforementioned visitor) was responsible for the theft and conspired with Aiden Dolly to sell the ring. Kyle Pianetti was charged with theft of movable property and Aiden Dolly was charged with possession of stolen property. Both were released without bail pending a court appearance.
UPDATE: Neighborhood Crime Alert – Wednesday, May 8, 2013 – Search for Suspect who Fled on Foot, Rt. 9, Lanoka Harbor
UPDATE: Theft & Obstructing - The Lacey Township Police Department received a call at 9:10 a.m. from an alert resident who observed two subjects in a silver/grey pickup truck cutting an air conditioning unit from a home on Tiller Drive in Sunrise Beach. The truck was reported to have backed up onto the homeowner's property with the ends of rear license plate of the pickup truck bent inward so as to obstruct the plate numbers and letters. The suspects cut the lines of the air conditioning unit from the home and loaded it into the bed of the pickup truck. When the homeowner opened his garage door to check why the truck was on his property, the suspects sped away from the scene with the tailgate of the truck still down. Officer Louis Brignola quickly located the vehicle near the 7-11 on Rt. 9 in Lanoka Harbor. Upon seeing the officers, the two males fled on foot. Sgt. James Tranz pursued 20-year-old John Clifton on foot and apprehended him in the wooded area behind the 7-11 store. The other subject, identified as 18-year-old Casey Sinopoli of Lanoka Harbor, fled through the woods. John Clifton was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
