Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Neighborhood Crime Alert – Monday, July 1, 2013 – Beach Boulevard, Forked River
Theft - On Monday, July 1, 2013, a homeowner from the 1500 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River reported that an unknown person or persons stole his central air conditioning condenser unit from outside his home sometime between Friday, June 28, 2013 and Monday, July 1, 2013. The repair and replacement cost is estimated at $1,500.
Neighborhood Crime Alert – Sunday, June 30, 2013 – Hemlock Lane, Forked River
Theft from Residence - On Saturday, June 29, 2013, a resident on the 200 block of Hemlock Lane in Forked River reported that someone entered the basement of his home and stole a Ryobi table saw and a Dewalt Skilz saw from a storage room in the basement. Both items together are valued at $250. The unlawful entry and theft reportedly occurred between 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013, and 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013. There was no sign of forced entry.
Neighborhood Crime Alert – Sunday, June 30, 2013 – Pheasant Run Section
Fraudulent Phone Call - A resident of the Pheasant Run section of Lacey Township reported receiving a telephone call from a person with a heavy Middle Eastern accent. The caller stated that he worked for Microsoft and needed to access the resident's computer to make repairs. The resident immediately recognized the call as fraudulent and disconnected from the caller. As has been reported in the past, this is a very common fraud attempt from both foreign countries and from within this country. The callers are usually not within the state and tend to make their attempts with more senior residents.
