Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – January 15, 2021 through January 21, 2021
DUI - On Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:58 p.m., Officers Brian Holt and Bruce Carver responded to a motor vehicle crash on Arlington Avenue. Officers discovered that a vehicle driven by Christopher Kaminsky, 37, collided with a parked car while using his cell phone. During the investigation, Kaminsky was deemed under the influence and arrested. Prior to being released, Kaminsky was issued summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Use of a Cell Phone, and Refusal to Submit to Breath Tests. Fraud - On Friday, January 15, 2021, at 1:19 p.m., Officer Kymberly Gudgeon met with a Lanoka Harbor business owner reporting fraudulent activity to his checking account. The victim stated that an unknown actor cashed two counterfeit checks against his account. The theft totaled $4,959. Theft - On Friday, January 15, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to Walmart where he met with a 75 year-old Waretown resident. The female victim reported that after completing her shopping earlier in the day she went to the register and was unable to locate her wallet. Assuming that she left it at home, she returned there and discovered that her credit card was used while she was shopping at Walmart. [...]

Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Elf Officer Justice – December 19, 2020
Day 19: Tonight, Elf Officer Justice assisted our night shift officers during their “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” DUI Enforcement and Prevention patrols. Here, Elf Officer Justice is photographed with an Alcotest breathalyzer. The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is statewide, and is in effect from December 4, 2020 to January 1, 2021. DUI enforcement remains a top priority of the Lacey Township Police Department, to ensure the safety of all motorists traveling on our roadways.
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 22nd through October 29th, 2020
Theft- On Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 12:14 p.m., Officer Michael Hutman was dispatched to a Buena Vista Road home for a reported theft. The homeowner stated that he recently had cash stolen from two separate locations, his home and vehicle. The theft is estimated at $1,670. No forced entry was observed at either location. Fire- On Friday, October 23, 2020, at 12:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Route 9 and Nautilus Boulevard for a utility pole fire. Officers found that a transformer had exploded and flames were seen at the top of the pole. The Forked River Fire Department responded to assist. Traffic was diverted while JCP&L made repairs. Fraud- On Friday, October 23, 2020, at 9:24 a.m., Officer Michael Hutman met with a Whitcomb Road resident in reference to fraudulent purchases. The victim conveyed that an unknown suspect opened an AT&T account using his personal information and he received a bill for the same. The victim further added that an iPhone valued at $850 was purchased under the same account. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 8th through October 15th, 2020
Fraud- During the past several weeks, four Lacey residents filed similar reports concerning unemployment benefits. Each victim described that their personal information was used while an unknown suspect(s) attempted to apply for unemployment. In each instance, the suspect received no benefit. Fraud- On Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 10:01 a.m., Officer Alan Abrecht met with a Lacey resident in reference to a fraudulent incident. The elderly victim explained that he was having issues with his computer and was contacted by an unknown suspect claiming to representative of a computer company. During the interaction, the victim provided the suspect with personal information that allowed access to his bank account. At the end of the incident, the suspect was able to steal $10,000 through several different transactions. Fire- On Monday, October, 12, 2020, at 9:20 a.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella was dispatched to the Lanoka Harbor Marina in reference to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup was on fire in the lot near several dry-docked boats. The vehicle fire was extinguished by the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department without damage to any other property. The Ocean County Fire Marshal responded deeming the fire [...]
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 17th through September 24th, 2020
Arrest- On Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 7:22 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to Shore Tanning in reference to a suspicious male. Upon his arrival, Officer Keefe met with Thomas Cavanaugh, 35. Cavanaugh explained that he was waiting for his sister who was inside one of the stores in the plaza. During the interaction it was discovered that Cavanaugh was wanted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department for failing to appear at Court. He was arrested and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. Arrest- On Friday, September 18, 2020, at 11:02 p.m., Officer Michael Hein made a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 near Warren Avenue. During the stop, both the driver, Gokhul Rabindra, and the passenger, Mahendranauth Maniram, were arrested after marijuana was found inside the vehicle. Both Richmond Hill, New York men were released pending a Court appearance. Arrest- On Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 10:38 a.m., Officers Michael Baldasari and Matthew D’Antonio were dispatched to 7-Eleven, 524 Lacey Road, in reference to a counterfeit bill. Investigation at the scene revealed that Kyle Comerford, 19, attempted to pay for a taxi ride with a counterfeit bill. He also attempted [...]
