Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release May 20th, 2014 thru May 26th, 2014 . . DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, May 26, 2014, at 1:42 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as a 17-year-old female juvenile from Forked River for DUI. The driver was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was released to a family member after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and a Provisional Driver’s License Violation. The driver was also charged on a juvenile complaint with Underage Consumption of Alcohol. The vehicle that the 17-year-old was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. In addition to this arrest, a passenger, identified as 20-year-old Nicholas Green of Beach Boulevard in Forked River was charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol. He was issued a complaint summons at the scene and released. Memorial Day Parade – Honoring Fallen Heroes of the United States Armed Forces – Monday, May 26, 2014 – Lacey Township Police Department
Honoring Fallen Heroes of the United States Armed Forces - The members of the Lacey Township Department extend our sincere appreciation to the families of the members of the United States Armed Forces who have paid the ultimate price in service to our country. We remember those fallen heroes with heavy hearts. The Lacey Township Police Department Honor Guard was proud to march in the Memorial Day Parade in honor of those who so bravely gave their lives in defense of the freedoms we enjoy everyday in this country.
Memorial Day Parade – Monday, May 26, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. – Lacey Township
Memorial Day Parade - Beginning at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2014, traffic will be blocked on Lacey Road from just west of the Forked River Elementary School to one block west of the Municipal Building. The roadway is expected to be obstructed to some degree until near noon. The Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude with a service at the Memorial along Lacey Road in front of police headquarters. For those who are not attending the parade and will be driving in the area during that time period, please select an alternate route around the area, as side streets to Lacey Road will be barricaded.
