Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Trunk or Treat Event from October 22, 2016
The above picture (left to right, back row) depicts Lacey Police Detective Michael Eden, Lacey Police Officer Daniel Ricciardella, and Ocean County Sheriff's Officer Christine Casullo, during a photograph at the Lacey Township Chamber of Commerce Trunk or Treat event held in Gille Park. On Saturday, October 22nd, 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department participated in the Lacey Chamber of Commerce "Trunk or Treat" event, held at Gille Park, 56 Manchester Avenue, in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. The event, hosted by the Lacey Chamber of Commerce, was held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and included approximately 40 area businesses, who each gave back to the community providing a "Trunk or Treat." The event provided a fun Halloween experience for the hundreds of families that attended, and included face-painting, temporary tattoos, and various give-aways for the kids, including their favorite Halloween candy. The kids were able to dress up in their Halloween costumes and "Trunk or Treat" in a fun, yet safe manner. I want to thank the Lacey Chamber of Commerce and all of the businesses that participated, for providing this amazing event for everyone. My officers truly enjoyed the interaction and we look forward to partipating next year. -Chief Michael C. DiBella
Department News – Lacey Township Police/Recreation Department – Skate Park Halloween Event – October 28th , 2016
Skate Park Halloween Contest Event October 28th, 2016 The October 28th, 2016 Gille Park Skate Park event (this Friday) will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will end at 9:00 p.m. The DJ will be playing music between the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:00 p.m. This Friday's skate park event will include a Halloween costume contest that will be judged at 7:30 p.m. There will be first, second, and third place prizes for the best dressed costume provided by the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance, and Tom and Dee's Italian Ice. The skate park lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear their helmets in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. This will be the last skate park evening event for the season. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 12th through October 17th, 2016
Criminal Mischief – On Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 5:05 p.m., Officer Julie Barcalow took a report of criminal mischief at the Lacey Pop Warner football field located in Clune Park, located at 740 Sandyhook Drive in Forked River. The complainant stated that between 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016, and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016, an unknown person or persons knocked over a port-a-potty. Additionally, the pads were removed from the goal posts on the football field and thrown into the woods, and potted mums were tossed onto the field, damaging the flowers. The total damage is estimated at $200.00. Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 4:03 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the area of Warren Avenue and South Street in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a suspicious male subject. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 28-year-old Franklin R. Sheppard, of Manchester Avenue in Forked River, on three (3) outstanding warrants issued from the Atlantic City Municipal Court. Warrant number one (1) was issued in the amount of $200.00, and Warrant number two (2) was issued in the amount of $800.00. Warrant number three (3) was issued in the amount of $200.00. Franklin R.
