Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – No-Shave November Update – November 11, 2016
The above picture depicts Lacey Police Chief Michael C. DiBella, Captain Patrick Ganley, Detective Alan Abrecht, and Officer George Resetar, with members of the Old Guard of Forked River and the Lacey Township American Legion during the No-Shave November presentation held last evening, November 10, 2016, at the Township meeting. Both the Old Guard and American Legion made donations to the No-Shave November event on behalf of the Lacey Township Police Department. On the evening of Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., members of the Lacey Township Police Department who are participating in the No-Shave November program attended the Township meeting. The Old Guard of Forked River donated a check in the amount of $500 to No-Shave November on behalf of the Lacey Township Police Department, while members of the Lacey Township American Legion donated a check in the amount of $250 "I want to personally thank the members of these organizations for their gratitude and support." As of November 10, 2016 (just prior to the Township meeting) the No-Shave November "Lacey Township Challenge" had received total donations in the amount of $4600. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 26th through November 1st, 2016
Drug Arrest – On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 2:48 p.m., Officer Brian Holt conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 21-year-old Todd R. Sinn of Chestnut Street in Waretown, NJ, for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Todd R. Sinn was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Shoplifting – On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 1:07 a.m., Officers Jason Lee and Scott Keefe responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male fall victim in the restroom. Upon arrival the male subject was located on the floor of the restroom. He was alert and conscious, however, had some minor injuries consistent with falling. An Investigation at the scene determined that the male, identified as 31-year-old George Buzinkai of Hilltop Drive in Bayville, NJ, had shoplifted two cans of “Dust Off” from inside the store and had used one of them as in inhalant just before falling in the restroom. Department News – Members of the Lacey Township Police Department and Emergency Services Volunteers Participate in No-Shave November – November 1st, 2016

The picture depicts representatives from the Lacey Township Police Department, along with members from each Emergency Services Organization. In addition, the photo includes Committeeman Gary Quinn, Township Administrator Veronica Laureigh, and Community Development Director Christopher Reid. Members of the Lacey Township Police Department and local Emergency Services Volunteers are breaking protocol this month for a good cause. Lacey Township Police Officers, along with members from the Forked River, Lanoka Harbor, and Bamber Lakes Fire Departments, the Lacey Township and Lanoka Harbor EMS Squads, and members from the Lacey Township Dive Team, are participating in “No Shave November” to raise awareness and funding for cancer charities. The initiative started today, November 1, 2016, and will conclude on November 30th, 2016. No-Shave November is a fundraiser in which people put down their razor in order to raise awareness and funding for cancer charities. This month residents in Lacey Township will find some of their police officers and emergency services personnel to be on the “hairy side."
