Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection Event – Wednesday, November 16th, 2016, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection Event – The Lacey Township Police Department is hosting a courtesy (non-enforcement) Child Seat Safety Check at the Lanoka Harbor Fire House on Route 9 and Warren Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. The event will be held rain or shine from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Specially trained certified child seat technicians from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department will be on site to conduct a courtesy child seat inspection of installed seats and to assist participants in the proper installation of child seats. The officers of the Lacey Township Police Department are dedicated to child safety. Over 80% of child safety seats currently installed in vehicles are either the wrong seats for the child being transported or are incorrectly installed. Technicians, will assist not only in the inspection of the seats but will also educate caregivers on the proper seat selection and installation. The event is being hosted by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Inspections are expected to take approximately 20 minutes per vehicle. – Chief Michael C. DiBella

Drug Arrest - On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 3:40 a.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Applebee's located at 404 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 24-year-old Krystena Runkle, of Bowline Street in Beachwood, NJ, for Possession of CDS. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Krystena Runkle was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of 50 Grams or Less of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, she received traffic summonses for Driving with a Suspended License, Suspended Registration, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. The vehicle she was operating was impounded. Drug Arrest – On Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 10:20 p.m., Special Officer Robert Campolei was on patrol when he observed an occupied vehicle parked in the parking lot of Deerhead Lake. Upon speaking with the driver, 19-year-old Sean M. Flynn of Spray Drive in Beachwood, NJ, Special Officer Campolei detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle.
