Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. RWJBarnabas Health, Behavioral Health Center is offering free Narcan training and information on March 9th, 2017, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The training and information are being provided to help protect persons from an opiate overdose. The training will be held in the RWJBarnabas Health, Behavioral Health Center Dining Room, located at 1691 US Highway 9 in Toms River, NJ. Free Narcan kits will be available. Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection Event From February 15th, 2017 –The Lacey Township Police Department, with the assistance of members of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, conducted courtesy child seat safety inspections for several parents, grandparents, and caregivers. The event was held between 4:00 p.m. and 7 :00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017, at the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Each inspection took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Participants were provided information on the safe installation and use of child seats by trained and certified child seat technicians. The next Child Safety Seat Inspection Event will be held at the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition to our child seat safety inspection events , the Lacey Township Police Department offers the service to our residents throughout the entire year. Services Toms River, NJ 08754-2191 732-341-9700, ext. 7735 FREE POTASSIUM IODIDE (KI) TABLETS BEING OFFERED BY THE OCEAN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT The Ocean County Health Department is providing free potassium iodide (KI) pills to people who live or work within a 10-mile radius of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. The free pills are being offered at convenient locations throughout the county or at the Ocean County Health Department. “KI is being offered as a preparedness measure and not in response to any imminent danger or threat. The tablets are being offered to those living or working in these areas: Barnegat Light, Barnegat Township, Beachwood, Beach Haven, Berkeley Township, Toms River, Harvey Cedars, Island Heights, Lacey Township, Long Beach Township, Pine Beach, Ocean Township (Waretown), Ocean Gate, Seaside Park, Ship Bottom, South Toms River, Stafford, and Surf City,” said Ocean County Freeholder Deputy Director Gerry P.
