Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – April 14th through April 19th, 2017
Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 11:11 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Game Farm Road and Route 9 North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrests of the driver, identified as 22-year-old Roger F. McMenamin of Shadow Oaks Drive in Toms River, NJ, and a passenger, identified as 25-year-old Timothy R. Simpson of Hazelwood Road in Toms River, NJ, for possession of CDS. They were both transported to Police Headquarters and processed. They both received criminal summonses for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and were released. In addition, Roger McMenamin was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and was issued traffic summonses for Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle and Speeding Burglary and Criminal Mischief (Residence) – On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 10:18 a.m., Officer Scott Anderson responded to the 200 block of Good Luck Road in Forked River, for a report of criminal mischief to a vacant house. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Gille Park Skate Park Event Begins Tonight at 6pm
Gille Park Skate Park Events, Making a Return This Evening, April 12th, 2017 In the fall of 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department partnered with the Lacey Township Recreation Department and Municipal Alliance, to open the Gille Park skate park, for Lacey Township residents, every other Friday evening. The events started in August 2016, and continued through October 28th, 2016. The evening skate park events are making a return, beginning this evening, April 12th, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park.
