Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event Scheduled for Friday, May 19th, 2017
Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event Scheduled for Friday Night, May 19th, 2017. The next Gille Park Skate Park Evening event will be held this Friday, May 19th, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance have partnered together to bring a mobile gaming trailer to the next scheduled skate park event (June 2, 2017). The mobile gaming trailer will be provided by "Party Crashers" and will be at the skate park from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available to the kids. The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer participated in last year's Lacey Day Event, and has participated in numerous events throughout Ocean County. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Lacey Middle School Night Out Tournament Results, May 13, 2017
The above photo depicts (in no particular order) Chief Michael C. DiBella, Captain Patrick Ganley and Officers Anthony Sarno, George Resetar, and Jason Lee, with the "Yellow Team" students just prior to the start of the Speedball Tournament at last evening's Lacey Middle School Night Out. Last evening, May 12, 2017, was a night of intense and competitive games of speedball at the Lacey Township Middle School. Over one-hundred 7th and 8th grade Middle School students participated in a double-elimination speedball tournament, ultimately resulting in one team being announced as the 2017 Lacey Middle School Speedball Tournament Champions. The tournament, which was coordinated by the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Township Police Department and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, included free food and giveaways, provided by Lacey Township Recreation and the Municipal Alliance. Additionally, free team t-shirts (in various team colors) were provided to each Middle School student who participated, by the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation. Last evening's tournament involved 10 teams of middle school students and several Lacey Township Police Officers who served as coaches and assistants. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 5th through May 11th, 2017
Drug and Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 11:41 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 near the intersection of Jones Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 19-year-old Deja Rojas of Lee Way in Forked River for possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, a 17-year-old female passenger from Forked River was arrested for possession of CDS. An additional passenger, identified as 18-year-old Sydney Littleford of Predmore Avenue in Lanoka harbor was arrested on an outstanding Tuckerton Borough Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500. All three were transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Deja Rojas was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, she was issued traffic summonses for Careless Driving and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle. The female juvenile was released to her parent after being charged on a Juvenile Complaint with Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less.
