Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department -Seat Belt Enforcement and Education Campaign – Click It or Ticket, May 22nd through June 4th, 2017
Seat Belt Enforcement and Education Campaign Currently Being Conducted in Lacey Township as Part of the Nationwide Click It or Ticket Mobilization (May 22 – June 4, 2017) Lacey Township Police Officers have joined with law enforcement officers from around the country in cracking down on unbuckled motorists and passengers as part of the national “Click it or Ticket” campaign. Beginning today, May 22nd, 2017 and continuing through June 4th, 2017, the annual “Click It or Ticket” national mobilization campaign will utilize high visibility seat belt checkpoints and saturation patrols, in combination with local and national publicity efforts, to reiterate the life-saving value of seat belts. Specifically dedicated grant funding allows for these additional enforcement patrols in Lacey Township. Both marked and Stealth-type police vehicles will be utilized to conduct these patrols in Lacey Township. “Using a seat belt is the simplest way for a driver and his or her passengers to protect themselves when traveling,” said Gary Poedubicky, Acting Director of the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 12th through May 18th, 2017
Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 12:56 a.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel, Scott Keefe, and Jason Lee responded to the Wawa, 701 Route 9, Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a suspicious male in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Alexander J. Madonna of Pheasant Drive, Bayville, New Jersey, on an outstanding harassment warrant out of South Toms River in the bail amount of $500. Alexander Madonna was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and ROR’d on the warrant. Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11:08 p.m., while investigating a suspicious person at the 7-Eleven, 524 Lacey Road, Forked River, Officer Jesse Dalziel discovered that 51-year-old Antonio Giudice of Deerhead Lake Drive, Forked River, had an active Child Support Warrant out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $10,327.86. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters and processed. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving with a Suspended License, and transported to the Ocean County Correctional facility on the warrant. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event Scheduled Tomorrow Night, (Friday) May 19th, 2017
Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event Scheduled for Tomorrow Night, (Friday) May 19th, 2017. The Gille Park Skate Park Evening event will be held tomorrow night, May 19th, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance have partnered together to bring a mobile gaming trailer to the next scheduled skate park event (June 2, 2017). The mobile gaming trailer will be provided by "Party Crashers" and will be at the skate park from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available to the kids. The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer participated in last year's Lacey Day Event, and has participated in numerous events throughout Ocean County.
