Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Lacey Township Police Department News—Juvenile Police Academy will be starting Monday, July 10th, 2017 and ending Friday, July 14th, 2017
FYI:SURROUNDING MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL RESIDENTS The Lacey Township Police Department will be hosting our Juvenile Police Academy, at the Lacey Township High School, from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday July 1oth thru July 14th. There will be many different "staged" police related activities outside on the Middle School grounds. This will continue through the week so residents are being advised that they may observe a lot of police activity or may here loud noises and sirens coming from the area of the Middle School during this event. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – 1st Annual National Night Out – Gille Park – August 1st, 2017
I am happy to announce that the Lacey Township Police Department will be presenting our 1st annual National Night Out, on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017. The event will take place on the south side of Gille Park, 56 Manchester Avenue, Forked River, 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The purpose of this event is to strengthen law enforcement and community partnerships, and promote drug and DUI prevention and education. This event will offer a variety of entertainment for all ages to enjoy. The Lacey Township Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the New Jersey State Police will be on site. Each agency will present different pieces of law enforcement equipment and apparatus. The Lacey Township Police Department will have patrol vehicles on scene and will be available for photographs with visitors. Have your son or daughter take a picture with one of our officers in their favorite police car. In addition, the Lacey Township Police will conduct a bicycle rodeo for young adults and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department will provide a K-9 demonstration, a drone demonstration, and conduct Child ID. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – June 23rd through June 28th, 2017
Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., Officer John McKee responded to police headquarters to serve a Wall Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500. Upon arrival Officer McKee met with 25-year-old William C. Fisher, 3rd, of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River. He was processed on the warrant and released after posting bail. Underage Consumption of Alcohol – On Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 7:19 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the 400 block of Barnacle Road in Forked River, for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival the officers located a 17-year-old male from Forked River, who appeared to be highly intoxicated and possibly under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. The juvenile was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital by the Lacey Township EMS. The parents of the juvenile reported that he had just been dropped off by a vehicle that had been circling the area. Officer Dalziel observed the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and spoke with the occupants. Upon further investigation 19-year-old Jordan Metcalf of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor, was issued a Special Form of Complaint and Summons for Underage Consumption of Alcohol [...]

Thursday, March 14, 2013 – Arrest for 2011 Vaughn Avenue Home Burglary
A fingerprint lifted at the scene of an April 15, 2011 home burglary on Vaughn Avenue in Forked River was recently matched through AFIS to Lacey Township resident, Dillon Devlin, age 21, of Dearhead Lake Drive. Detectives recently located and arrested Devlin during a traffic stop. Devlin also had an outstanding warrant issued by the Ocean County Superior Court for failing to comply with probation. Devlin was charged with Burglary and Theft of Moveable Property for the 2011 Vaughn Avenue home burglary and was lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no bail set. The matter is still under investigation to locate and arrest another subject who was involved in the 2011 burglary.
Arrest: Monday, March 5, 2013 – Distribution of CDS (Marijuana)
Arrest: Distribution of CDS (Marijuana) - On Monday, March 5, 2013, Lacey Township detectives arrested and charged 26-year-old Thomas Guzy of Barnegat with Distribution of CDS (Marijuana) in Lacey Township. Thomas Guzy was observed on March 1, 2013 by detectives meeting with a 27-year-old West Creek resident, Lynnea Davies, in Lacey Township making a hand-to-hand drug transaction. Lynnea Davies was charged with Possession of Marijuana while Thomas Guzy was charged with Possession of Marijuana as well as Distribution of Marijuana.
