Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – National Night Out – Gille Park, Today, August 1st, 2017, 6pm to 11pm
*** National Night Out, Today, August 1st, 2017, at Gille Park, 6pm to 11pm *** I am happy to announce that the Lacey Township Police Department will be presenting our 1st Annual National Night Out today, August 1st, 2017. The event will take place on the south side of Gille Park, 56 Manchester Avenue, Forked River, 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The purpose of this event is to strengthen law enforcement and community partnerships, and promote drug and DUI prevention and education. The event kickoff will take place at 6:30 p.m. with the National Anthem, being performed by 17-year-old LyndseySupsie from Lanoka Harbor. God Bless America will then be performed by 18-year-old McKenzie Hupke from Forked River. This event will offer a variety of entertainment for all ages to enjoy. The Lacey Township Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the New Jersey State Police will be on site. Each agency will present different pieces of law enforcement equipment and apparatus. The Lacey Township Police Department will have patrol vehicles on scene and will be available for photographs with visitors. Drug Arrest – On Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 11:23 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a traffic stop on East Haines Street near Bayberry Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a passenger, identified as a 15-year-old male from Lanoka Harbor, for possession of CDS. The male was arrested and released to the custody of his guardian. He was charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less. Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 7:37 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Wendy’s, located at 301 Route 9 North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 57-year-old Teresa Poli of Newark Avenue in Forked River, on an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $429. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Teresa Poli was released ROR. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Overdose Awareness Day, Thursday, August 31st, 2017
*** International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31st, 2017 *** International Overdose Awareness Day is scheduled for Thursday, August 31st, 2017. Our local overdose awareness event, hosted by Young People in Recovery of Ocean County, will be held from 6pm to 9pm at the Lacey United Methodist Church, located at 203 Lacey Road in Forked River. This event is one of many being held nationally, and in New Jersey it is provided by Fed Up, a local coalition working to stop the opioid epidemic . The nationwide event is designed to bring education and more awareness to the opioid epidemic, along with remembering those we lost. Featured speakers for our local event include but are not limited to Lacey Police Chief Michael C. DiBella and John Brogan from Lifeline Family Recovery Group, along with speakers from treatment centers, recovery groups, and local clergy. Organizations attending include but are not limited to Hope Sheds Light, Young People in Recovery of Ocean County, Recovery Centers of America and the DART Prevention Coalition. The event will also feature a candle light vigil for all those lost to heroin and other opioid addictions. This event is free and open to the public. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release July 16th thru July 21st, 2013 . . Drug Possession (Arrest) - On Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 2:35 a.m., Officers George Resetar and Andrew Slota responded to the 700 block of Princeton Avenue for a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 17 year-old juvenile male (driver) from Forked River. He was charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana in an amount of 50 grams or less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He also received a traffic summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and was released to a parent. Theft from an Auto - On Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 7:20 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to Walmart for a theft report. The victim reported that sometime between 10:00 p.m. on July 15, 2013, and 7:00 a.m. on July 16, 2013, an unknown person stole her son’s bicycle from the bed of her pickup truck. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release July 9th thru July 15th, 2013 . Burglary and Theft (Arrest) - On Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 12:03 a.m., Officers George Resetar and Andrew Slota responded to Shoprite for a report of theft. The complainant reported that a male subject illegally entered the business after hours, took merchandise, and attempted to leave. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 45-year-old Chad M. Williams of Manchester for Burglary (entering Shoprite after hours) and committing a theft in the amount of $69.30. C. Williams was processed and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. Theft (Business) - On Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 8:46 p.m., Officer George Resetar took a report of a theft from the Walmart. The victim reported that sometime between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. that day, an unknown person stole his bicycle that was left outside unsecure. The bicycle is valued at $250. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release July 2nd to July 8th, 2013 . Heroin Distribution (Arrest) - On Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 6:00 p.m., Officer Robert Flynn arrested 18-year-old Roger Krinic, Jr. of Forked River at Bud Mezzara Park on Lakeside Drive South in Forked River and charged him with Possession of CDS (Heroin), Possession of the CDS with the Intent to Distribute, and the 2nd Degree Crime of Distributing CDS in a Park. Roger Krinic, Jr. was processed and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of $100,000 bail. On Wednesday, July 3, 2013, Detective Robert Surtees continued this investigation with the arrest of 24-year-old Shannon Augustino of Forked River. Shannon Augustino was charged with Loitering to Obtain CDS. Shoplifting (Arrest) - On Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10:01 p.m., Officers Kymberly Gudgeon and Michael Eden responded to the Lacey Walmart for a shoplifter. Upon their arrival, 56-year-old Deborah Parente of South Toms River was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $83.52. Deborah Parente was processed and later released after receiving a criminal summons.
