Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. DUI with Motor Vehicle Crash (Arrest) – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 11:59 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the area of Kearny Avenue and Lakeside Drive North in Forked River for a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash involving a utility pole. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 24-year-old Mariah K. Bartley of Windlass Drive in Manahawkin, NJ for DUI. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Mariah K. Bartley was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 11:51 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was patrolling the parking lot of Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, when he recognized an adult male known to him to have active arrest warrants. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Joseph J. Caputo, 4th of Barnacle Road in Forked River, on an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500 and an Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrant in the bail amount of $8896. Township News – Lacey Twp. Police Department – Lacey Twp. Recreation Department – Gille Park Skate Park Event Tonight, Sept 8th, 2017
The next Gille Park Skate Park Evening event will be held this evening, September 8th, 2017, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance have partnered together to bring a mobile gaming trailer to this event. The mobile gaming trailer will be provided by "Party Crashers" and will be at the skate park from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available to the kids. The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer participated in last year's Lacey Day Event, and has participated in numerous events throughout Ocean County. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Lacey Lock Box Program – September 5, 2017
The Lacey Township Police Department continues to conduct our Lacey Lock Box Program. The Lacey Lock Box program is a free community program directed to those 55 years of age or older and those with potentially incapacitating medical conditions. This program is designed to assist first responders, including the Lacey Township Police Department, in reaching those in need of emergency assistance. Only the Lacey Township Police Department will have access to the lock box. The lock box is used in emergency situations where the door is locked and first responders must gain entry to the residence. Use of the lock box can prevent costly property damage from forced entry, and reduce delays in caring for the resident. The lock box may also be used in the event of a well-being check. Residents will not have access to the lock box, it is for emergency use only. J. Lorton and Company, located at 421 South Main Street in Forked River, has stepped forward and has agreed to volunteer their time to install these lock boxes on a monthly basis. The best part is J. Crime Alert (Drug Distribution) – Wednesday, November 27, 2013 – Lacey Township
Drug Distribution Arrests - On the evening of Tuesday, November 26, 2013, while conducting a surveillance which led to a parking lot in Berkeley Township, Lacey Township Police Department detectives witnessed a Lacey Township resident conduct a suspicious meeting with a second male subject. The Lacey man, 28-year-old Michael Visinski of Maple Road in Lanoka Harbor, was in a vehicle driven by another Lacey Township resident, 28-year-old Michael Toms of Windsor Street in Forked River. The investigation led to the arrest of both Michael Visinski and Michael Toms for Possession and Distribution of Oxycodone pills. Both suspects were transported to Berkeley Township Police Department for processing. Each was charged with Possession of Oxycodone with the Intent to Distribute and were released on their own recognizance pending a court appearance. Oxycodone (an opiate) is a Schedule II narcotic often prescribed for pain. Detectives from the Berkeley Township Police Department assisted with the arrest.

Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release November 19th thru November 25th, 2013 . . Warrant (Arrest) – On Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 3:13 p.m. Special Officer Travis Horton observed 26-year-old Jennifer L. Wood of 424 Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor, in the Lacey Township Municipal Court. Officer Travis Horton was aware that she had an active no bail Child Support warrant issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and placed her under arrest. Jennifer Wood was then transported to the Ocean County Jail. Public Urination (Formal Charge) – On Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 12:14 a.m. Officer Androcy was patrolling on Route 9, when he observed a male urinating in the parking lot of the Forked River House. Upon entering the parking lot the male was still urinating and talking on his cell phone, until he noticed the patrol vehicle a short while later. The subject later identified as, 23-year-old Nicholas Kuzma of 12 Tom Gray Court in Forked River was issued a township ordinance violation on a Special Complaint Summons for Urinating in Public. Crime Alert (Arrest) – Lacey Township Police Department – Friday, November 22, 2013
Continuing Investigation - At 2:30 a.m., on Friday, November 22, 2013, Patrol Officer Evan Androcy of the Lacey Township Police Department was patrolling the Laurel Boulevard area in Lanoka Harbor when he observed 19-year-old Cody Diaz of Bayville near a vehicle on Sycamore Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Cody Diaz of 149 Harlequin Glade in Bayville attempted to hide but was quickly located by Officer Androcy. Although Officer Androcy suspected Cody Diaz of committing car burglaries, Diaz quickly attributed his suspicious actions to his possession of Marijuana and his desire to avoid being arrested. In addition to the Marijuana, Diaz was found in possession of a black backpack weighted down with loose change along with other small items consistent with car burglaries. Officer Androcy placed Cody Diaz under arrest for possession of CDS as well as the under age possession of alcohol. Detective Brian Flynn is currently continuing the investigation into the suspected car burglaries in the general area of Laurel Boulevard from the Wawa down to the Laurel Harbor Marina area. The Berkeley Township Police Department was also notified as to Cody Diaz being a suspect in a number of car burglaries in their Township.
