Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 4th, 2017 through October 12th, 2017
MVA (Injury) – On October 11, 2017, at 9:57 a.m., the Lacey Township Police Department responded to Route 539 in the area of milepost 17 for an overturned dump truck. The single vehicle crash involved a fully loaded 2002 Mack Truck dump truck that left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned. The truck had been traveling north near milepost 17 when the driver lost control. The truck crossed the southbound lanes and left the roadway, striking several trees and a utility pole. The truck overturned and the contents of the truck spilled onto the roadway, rendering the roadway impassable. The utility pole was snapped in two and the wires were lying across the roadway. Preliminary investigation revealed the truck may have experienced a front tire blow out as it was traveling through the curved, downhill portion of the roadway, which likely was a significant factor in the crash. Route 539 was closed in both directions from Route 72 in Barnegat to Harry Wright Blvd. in Manchester for approximately 6 hours. Township News -Lacey Twp Police and Recreation Depts – Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event Tonight at 6pm
The next Gille Park Skate Park Evening event will be held Tonight, October 6th, 2017, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance have partnered together to bring a mobile gaming trailer to this event. The mobile gaming trailer will be provided by "Party Crashers" and will be at the skate park from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available to the kids. The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer participated in last year's Lacey Day Event, and has participated in numerous events throughout Ocean County. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 28th, 2017 through October 3rd, 2017
Theft from Residence – On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 4:33 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to Police Headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that in the end of September 2017, she noticed property belonging to her was missing from her residence. The stolen items include a rare coin collection, rare 1930s-era 10-dollar bills, and a gold heart charm with an estimated total value of $300. There were no signs of forced entry. The incident remains under investigation. Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Monday, October 2, 2017, at 5:05 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the 500 block of Baldwin Street in Forked River for a report of damage to a vehicle. The complainant reported that between September 29th, 2017 and October 2nd, 2017, an unknown person or persons keyed two vehicles that were parked in the street in front of their residence. The damage to both vehicles is estimated at $500 each. Fire – On Monday, October 2, 2017, at 3:12 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the 100 block of Caldwell Avenue in Forked River for a report of a fire coming from the rear of the residence. UPDATE (Arrest): Home Burglary and Theft – Lacey Township Police Department – Wednesday, December 18, 2013
Residential Burglary (Arrest) - On Thursday, November 28, 2013, the Lacey Township Police Department received a report of a residential burglary on Bowline Drive in the Sunrise Beach section of Forked River. On Tuesday, December 17, 2013, after a three-week investigation, Detective Brian Flynn arrested 30-year-old Jeffrey Polyak of 207 Greenwood Lane in Forked River. The Bowline Drive home was forcibly entered by means of a bedroom window being pried open while the residents were not home. Jeffrey Polyak was charged with Burglary as well as Theft of Movable Property ($7,500 worth of jewelry). Jeffrey Polyak was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility with bail set at $25,000.

Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release December 10th thru December 16th, 2013 . . UPDATE (Arrest): On Wednesday, November 20, 2013, the Lacey Township Police Department publically released a bank ATM surveillance image of an unidentified person who had illegally used a stolen credit card connected to a burglary of a vehicle in Lanoka Harbor. After a three week investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jessica Walters of Lanoka Harbor. On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Lacey Township Police Department detectives arrested 31-year-old Jessica Walters. Jessica Walters also had an outstanding, no-bail warrant issued out of the Ocean County Superior Court for a probation violation. A search of her clothing yielded 13 folds containing Heroin as well as a hypodermic syringe. Jessica Walters was identified as a suspect in several vehicle burglaries that occurred in Lacey Township during the month of October. During the investigation, detectives obtained video surveillance from several locations in Ocean and Monmouth Counties where Jessica Walters used stolen credit cards to make cash withdrawals and purchases. Neighborhood Crime Alert (UPDATE) – Search Warrant – Theft of Jewelry and Heroin Possession Arrest – 301 Bay Way, Lanoka Harbor
Search Warrant & Theft/Heroin Possession (Arrest) - On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, Lacey Township Police Department detectives executed a search warrant at 301 Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor. The search warrant was sought and executed as part of an investigation into several residential burglaries which occurred on Clairmore Avenue during the Summer of 2013. During the search, detectives discovered 92 folds containing Heroin. The target of the investigations, 26-year-old Anthony Sestito, was arrested and charged with Theft of Moveable Property (Jewelry) and Possession of Heroin. The stolen property, mainly consisting of jewelry, was estimated at $27,000. The stolen jewelry was not recovered as the investigation revealed the stolen items had been sold/pawned. Anthony Sestito was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of $50,000 cash bail.
