Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – YPR Hosts Free Narcan Training – Monday, January 22, 2018
*** Free Narcan Training *** On Monday, January 22, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm, Narcan (Naloxone) training will be offered for free at the Forever Young Nursery School, located at 1030 Lacey Road in Forked River. The event is being hosted by YPR of Ocean County (Young People in Recovery) and the training will be provided by Urban Treatment Associates, 808 Market Street in Camden, NJ 08102. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 8th, 2017 through December 15th, 2017
Shoplifting – On Friday, December 15, 2017, at 6:29 p.m., Officers Elton Copes and Patrick Watkins responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of an adult female shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 50-year-old Lisa A. Fultz of Bee Way in Forked River, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $377.10. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Lisa A. Fultz was released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting. Fires – On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 8:08 p.m., Officer Robert Duffy responded to West Lacey Road near the border of Manchester Township for a report of smoke in the area. Officer Duffy searched the area and located a small bonfire in the wooded area off of Dover Road known as “Carusoville.” The Bamber Lakes Fire Department extinguished the fire. Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 10:59 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the Heritage Apartments, located at 1031 Newark Avenue North in Forked River, for a report of theft from a vehicle. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over 2017 Year End Holiday Crackdown
*** Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over 2017 Year End Holiday Crackdown, December 8th, 2017 through January 1st, 2018 *** DUI Enforcement and Prevention remains a top priority for the Lacey Township Police Department. The danger presented to the public by motorists who choose to get behind the wheel of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs is too often realized through a tragic motor vehicle collision. Throughout this period (December 8, 2017 to January 1st, 2018), the Lacey Township Police Department will be conducting additional DUI patrols through a grant provided by the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety . The specific grant, "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over 2017 Year End Holiday Crackdown Grant" runs from December 8th, 2017 through January 1st, 2018. The intent of these extra DUI patrols are to make the roadways in Lacey Township as safe as possible for the motoring public, especially during this holiday season. There is zero tolerance in Lacey Township for operating a motor vehicle while DUI. If drivers are caught operating their vehicle while impaired by drugs and/or alcohol they will be arrested. Robbery Arrests – Lacey Township Police Department – Tuesday, April 8, 2014 – Lacey Road & Route 9, Forked River, NJ
Robbery (Arrests) - On Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 10:30 p.m., the Lacey Township Police Department received a report of several young adults having assaulted a single individual behind the Spirits Unlimited Liquor Store in the Town Square Plaza at Lacey Road and Route 9 in Forked River. The caller reported that the victim was bleeding badly and needed medical attention. The assailants were reported to have fled the scene on foot. Upon arrival at the scene, officers quickly learned that the incident involved a robbery of an undetermined amount of cash from 24-year-old Joseph J. Caputo IV of Forked River. Joseph Caputo was transported to the Community Medical Center for treatment of the injuries suffered during the assault and reported robbery. Immediate investigation by Officers Andrew Slota, Dimitri Tsarnas, George Resetar, Michael Verwey, and Sergeant Ronald Buxton led to the identification of four suspects, including: 20-year-old Anthony O. Baisi of 1618 Ewart Rd in Forked River; 22-year-old Shawn C. Kaliske of 15 Hastings Road in Forked River; 21-year-old Jacob Barney of 1250 Spruce Street in Forked River; as well as a 17-year-old male from Forked River. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release April 1st, 2014 thru April 6th, 2014 . . Drug Possession (Arrest) - On Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 9:48 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota conducted a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle at Manchester Avenue just south of Grove Street in Lanoka Harbor. Upon speaking with the driver, 19-year-old Kadija Diawara of Fellowship Court in Toms River, Officer Slota detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Kadija Diawara for possession of marijuana. Kadija Diawara was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons. She was charged with Possession of Marijuana. She also received motor vehicle summonses for Maintenance of Lamps and possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle. Drug Possession (Arrest) - On Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11:51 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey and Officer George Resetar were assigned to a directed drug enforcement detail when they observed two males sitting in a vehicle on Devon Street in Forked River with the engine running and all of the vehicle’s lights off. UPDATE: Robbery Arrest – Lacey Township Police Department – Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Robbery Arrest - At 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, Detective Robert Surtees arrested 18-year-old Alex Marsh of Hollywood Drive in Forked River for the armed robbery committed on Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Country Farm store in the Eric Plaza on Lacey Road in Forked River. The arrest was made by Detective Surtees without resistance at the Marsh residence on Hollywood Drive in Forked River. Alex Marsh was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Robbery (1st degree), Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose (3rd degree), and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (4th degree). Bail was set by J.S.C. Francis Hodgson at $250,000 with no 10% option. Alex Marsh will be transferred to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail following further forensic processing.
