Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Burglary/Theft of Motor Vehicle/Criminal Mischief/Resisting Arrest/Eluding - On Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 5:07 a.m., the Lacey Township Police Department responded to the Lacey Business Park, located on Challenger Way in Forked River in reference to a power outage. Upon arrival, officers located damage to a utility pole. An investigation revealed that an unknown person or persons used a chain attached to a vehicle to pull the electrical service wire from the utility pole. As the tension was applied, a primary wire severed and caused an attached transformer to explode. Damage was also discovered to a nearby business that was supplied by the power wires. The damage is estimated at $20,000. Lacey Township Police Detectives were able to identify the vehicle involved as a dark-colored pickup truck, and determined that the incident occurred at 4:15 a.m. At approximately 12:oo p.m., a business owner in the area reported a black Ford pickup truck stolen from his parking lot. Officer John D. Simonson then observed the vehicle traveling on Newark Avenue in Forked River, and attempted to make a motor vehicle stop. Neighborhood Crime Alert (Burglary) – 1000 Block of Clifton Street, Forked River (Pines Section) – Thursday, May 15, 2014
Burglary of a Residence - On Thursday, May 15, 2014 (Today), at 2:30 p.m. the Lacey Township Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Clifton Street in Forked River for a report of a home burglary. The homeowner reported that between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014, an unknown person or persons gained entry to the home through an unlocked window and stole approximately $2,000 worth of jewelry from the home. Detective Brian Flynn along with the Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) and a K-9 team from the Ocean County Sheriff's Department are on scene continuing the investigation. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release May 6th, 2014 thru May 12th, 2014 . . Theft – On Monday, May 12, 2014, at 4:44 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to Taylor Lane in Forked River for a theft. The complainant reported that between November 1, 2013 and May 12, 2014, an unknown person or persons stole a red Roto Tiller (unknown make or model) valued at $300 from his backyard. In addition, the complainant reported that on May 8, 2014, an unknown person or persons stole a vehicle transmission (unknown what kind of vehicle the transmission belonged) valued at $800, that was also in the backyard. Criminal Mischief (Residence) – On Sunday, May 11, 2014, at 8:17 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the 200 block of Lane Place in Forked River for a damaged mailbox. The complainant reported that between 7:00 p.m. on May 10, 2014 and 7:30 a.m. on May 11, 2014, an unknown person or persons struck his mailbox with an unknown object causing damage valued at $100. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release April 29th, 2014 thru May 5th, 2014 . . DUI (Arrest) – On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 9:18 p.m., Officer Julie Barcalow conducted a traffic stop on Manchester Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 42-year-old Jennifer Bruno of Longwood Drive in Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Jennifer Bruno was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Impeding the Flow of Traffic, and Open Container in a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle Jennifer Bruno was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Warrant (Arrest) – On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 12:47 a.m., Officer Darrell Nick conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Wawa located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 33-year-old Timothy S. Jordan of Skiffway Drive in Forked River on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $1,029. Timothy Jordan was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.
