Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – February 9th, 2018 through February 15, 2018
DWI Arrest/Possession of CDS – On Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 7:20 a.m., Officer John McKee responded to the area of 309 Route 9 North, Forked River, for a report of a female slumped over the wheel on the side of the road. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 19-year-old Jordan L. Metcalf of Ariel Drive, Forked River, for DUI. Jordan Metcalf was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and charged with DWI, Underage DWI, Reckless, and Possession of 50 gram or less of Marijuana. The car she was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Attempted Car Burglary- On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 1:37 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the 1000 block of Center Street, Forked River, for a report of two males attempting to gain entry into parked vehicles. One of the male subjects was wearing a red sweatshirt, the other a black sweatshirt. There was no entry into the vehicles because they were locked at the time of the incident. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – February 2th, 2018 through February 8th, 2018
Residential Burglary – On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 4:02 p.m., Officer Keefe responded to the 500 block of Chelsea Street for a report of a burglary. The homeowner reported that between 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on February 6, 2018, an unknown person(s) entered the rear door of her residence, which was locked at the time; force was needed to gain entry. Once inside, the suspect stole assorted jewelry, a television, movie tickets, gift cards, and a Coach purse. The value of the stolen items is estimated at approximately $2000. This incident remains under investigating. Theft of Gas – On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 9:25 p.m., Officer Martin Julian responded to the Wawa on Laurel Boulevard and Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor for a report of theft of gas. The female driver of the vehicle informed the gas attendant that she was not able to pay and left. A vehicle registration was obtained and attempts to locate the registered have been made. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – 2018 Red Night Out -Knock Out Substance Abuse – Friday, March 9, 2018
The Lacey Township Task Force presents the 2018 Red Night Out event, Knock Out Substance Abuse, on Friday, March 9, 2018. The event will take place at the Lacey Township High School, located at 73 Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor. Pizza and beverages will be provided from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. During this time, members of the Lacey Township Police Department will be presenting a display and will be available to answer questions. The main program begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature MMA Champion Frankie Edgar, along with former NFL Player Keith Elias. Additional presentations will include, but not be limited to, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato, John Brogan from Lifeline Recovery Support Services, and Lacey's own, Tom DeBlass. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release June 24th, 2014 thru June 30th, 2014 . . DUI (Arrest) - On Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 4:52 p.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the area of Lakeside Drive North and Kearney Drive in Forked River in reference to a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer Tsarnas observed a GMC Suburban along the roadway with the flashers activated. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver, later identified as 42-year-old Michael Clark of Tappan Street in Forked River appeared to be sleeping in the driver’s seat with the vehicle’s engine running. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Michael Clark for DUI. The vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Michael Clark was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters, processed, and was issued traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release June 18th, 2014 thru June 23rd, 2014 . . Underage Consumption of Alcohol - On Monday, June 23, 2014, at 12:43 a.m., Officer George Resetar and Officer Evan Androcy responded to a Lawrence Drive residence in Lanoka Harbor for a complaint of a loud party. Upon arrival, the officers met with an 18-year-old resident who identified himself as the homeowner's son. The 18-year-old male reported that his parents were currently vacationing and unaware of the party. While the officers were speaking with the resident, a small group of individuals exited from the backyard. Upon speaking with the group, Officer Resetar detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the breath of a 17-year-old juvenile. The juvenile was turned over to the custody of his mother. A juvenile complaint was prepared for the underage consumption of alcohol on private property. Theft – On Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 1:04 p.m., the resident of Lancaster Court in Forked River responded to Lacey Township Police Headquarters to report a theft. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release June 10th, 2014 thru June 16th, 2014 . . Counterfeit Money - On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10:29 a.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella responded to the Wawa at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River regarding counterfeit money. The store manager reported that within the prior hour, a white male in his 40’s, paid with three counterfeit $20 bills. The suspect purchased $60 worth of gift cards with the counterfeit money. The store manager also reported that the same suspect did the same thing a half hour prior within another Wawa at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. He reportedly also passed three counterfeit $20 bills at that store as well. Security video is being obtained through Wawa management. Warrant (Arrest) – On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 4:02 a.m., 34-year-old Laura Mooney, of Burr Street in Barnegat, called 911 to report that her boyfriend, 28-year-old John Sabie, of 755 Birch Road in Lanoka Harbor, was unconscious in the woods between Cedar Drive and the Bayberry development in Lanoka Harbor.
