Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – March 30, 2018 through April 5, 2018
Criminal Mischief/Graffiti — On Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 09:45 a.m., Officer Michael Hein was patrolling in the area of Lancaster Court/Sheffield Drive when he observed criminal mischief to the stop sign near Lancaster Court. The damage was estimated at $50. A work order was prepared and sent to Public Works to repair the sign. Warrant Arrest — On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at 10:00 p.m., Officer Martin Julian conducted a motor vehicle stop for speeding. Investigation at the scene found the driver, 51-year-old Ronald V. Gravious, Jr. of Harbor Road in Forked River, had a suspended driver’s license and multiple traffic warrants. The first warrant was out of Lacey Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. The second warrant was out of Bloomfield Township Municipal Court in the amount of $250. Ronald V.Gravious, Jr., also had four warrants out of Toms River Municipal Court totaling $1000. After posting bail, Ronald V. Gravious, Jr., was released without incident. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event ***Cancelled*** Friday, April 6th, 2018
The Lacey Township Skate Park Event is cancelled for Friday, April 6, 2018 due to weather concerns. The next scheduled event will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park. Additional 2018 skate park evening events will be held on (Fridays) May 4th, May 18th, June 1st, September 7th, September 21st, October 5th, October 19th, and November 2nd, 2018. Additional dates may be announced. If anyone has any questions in regard to these skate park events, or becoming involved with these events, please contact the Lacey Township Recreation Department at 609-693-1100 ext. 2203.
Department News – Cops Collectible Card Program 2018 – Starting, Sunday, April 1, 2018
The Lacey Township Police Department is excited to announce the kickoff of the 2018 COPs Collectible Card Program. The members of the police department, through the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, have finished production of the Lacey Township Police Officer Trading Cards. The program involves participating local businesses each sponsoring a card and then having the sponsored trading card available at their businesses for families to stop in and collect them. This program is a very interactive and positive community initiative in which the youth of the township and their families get to know more about the officers and staff within their police department. Likewise, interaction occurs within the community, as families can collect the cards from each of the sponsor businesses and through personal interactions with police officers out on the streets. The program will run from the beginning of April through June of 2018. Meet the Officer Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2018, 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.

Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release November 5th, 2014 thru November 10th, 2014 . . Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident with Struck Pedestrian – On Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 1:38 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to the parking lot of Caffrey’s Tavern located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River for a hit and run motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation revealed that the hit and run vehicle was seen backing into and striking an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot and then started to leave. A pedestrian in the parking lot witnessed the accident and attempted to stop the hit and run vehicle from leaving at which point the pedestrian was reportedly struck, suffering minor injuries. The driver of the hit and run vehicle did not stop to check on the pedestrian and instead fled. The vehicle is described as a black, 2000, Cadillac Eldorado with New York Registration GTS4740. The accident is presently under investigation. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release October 28th, 2014 thru November 4th, 2014 . . Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute in a Park – On November 3, 2014, at 10:13 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Robert Duffy responded to Eno’s Park located at 330 E. Lacey Road in Forked River for a suspicious incident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of five male subjects, which included one adult male and four juvenile males. The charges are as follows; a 17-year-old juvenile male from Forked River was charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute in a Public Park, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespassing. A 16-year-old juvenile male from Forked River was charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespassing. Another 16-year-old juvenile male from Lanoka Harbor and a 17-year-old juvenile male from Forked River were both charged on a juvenile complaint with trespassing. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release October 22nd, 2014 thru October 27th, 2014 . . DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, October 27, 2014, at 10:59 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop on Lacey Road near Penn Avenue North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 36-year-old Jason Mangan of Marquis Street in Toms River, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle Jason Mangan was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Theft – On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 1:08 a.m., Officer Evan Androcy received a report of a theft that was alleged to have occurred at a residence on the 500 block of Conifer Drive in Forked River. The victim reported that during the evening hours of Monday, October 27, 2014, he was visiting a friend on Conifer Drive when his ring valued at $260 went missing. The victim believes the ring was stolen from his possession while at the residence. The victim has identified a suspect and the matter is under investigation. Shoplifting and Warrant (Arrest) [...]
