Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection – Wednesday, April 25, 2018
Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection Event – The Lacey Township Police Department is hosting a courtesy (non-enforcement) Child Seat Safety Check at the Lanoka Harbor Fire House on Route 9 and Warren Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, this Wednesday, April 25, 2018. The event will be held rain or shine from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Specially trained certified child seat technicians from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department will be on site to conduct a courtesy child seat inspection of installed seats and to assist participants in the proper installation of child seats. The officers of the Lacey Township Police Department are dedicated to child safety. Over 80% of child safety seats currently installed in vehicles are either the wrong seats for the child being transported or are incorrectly installed. Technicians will assist not only in the inspection of the seats, but will also educate caregivers on the proper seat selection and installation. The event is being hosted by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Inspections are expected to take approximately 20 minutes per vehicle. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – April 13 through April 19, 2018
Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 6:14 p.m., Officer Elton Copes conducted an investigation involving a hit and run motor vehicle accident that occurred in the parking lot of the Lacey Mall, located at 348 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. The investigation led to the arrest of 50-year-old Kevin R. Tice of Enterprise Drive in Forked River, on an outstanding Newark Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $100. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed. Kevin R. Tice was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date. In addition, he also received traffic summonses for Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident and Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Accident. Theft – On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 12:18 p.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to Lacey Self Storage, located on Old Shore Road in Forked River, for a report of theft. The victim reported that between April 15 and April 18, 2018, an unknown person or persons removed the catalytic converter from his 2004 Georgie Boy Recreational Vehicle that was parked on the east side of the facility along a chain link fence. Township News – Lacey Police Department/Lacey Recreation – Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event – Tonight, April 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
*** Gille Park Skate Park Evening Events Return This Evening, April 20, 2018 *** In the fall of 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department partnered with the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Municipal Alliance, and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, to open the Gille Park Skate Park, for Lacey Township residents, every other Friday evening in both the Spring and Fall. The events started in August 2016, and continued through last year. I am very happy to announce that the Gille Park Skate Park Evening Events, also known as "Friday Night Lights" are making a return, beginning this evening, April 20th, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from our local Fire Departments. In addition, the Lacey Township Police Department, the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. Tonight's event will also include a mobile gaming trailer provided by "Party Crashers" from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available for the kids. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 9th thru 16th, 2014
Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release December 9th, thru 16th, 2014 . . Suspicious Incident(s) - At 2:04 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, Officer Androcy, along with Officer Verwey, responded to Bayside East Parkway in Forked River for a report of male wearing jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt (no further description) that had opened the door of a vehicle which was parked in the driveway. The homeowner said that she banged on the window of her home from inside and was able to get the male’s attention. Once she exited her home and yelled to him that she was calling the police, he reportedly ran west toward Constitution Drive. She determined that nothing was taken from her vehicle. A search of the area was conducted by responding officers and the male was not located. While Officer Androcy was driving to the location of the initial call, he discovered a work van on Independence Drive with its rear doors open. Officer Androcy was unable to determine if anything was stolen from the van, as efforts to make contact with anyone inside the residence where the work van was parked were unsuccessful. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release December 3rd, thru 8th, 2014 . . Missing Person (Silver Alert) - On Sunday, December 07, 2014, at 7:24 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to a Leguene Avenue residence in Forked River in reference to a missing adult female. A family member reported that the female left the residence at approximately 5:30 p.m. to get a newspaper and had not returned. The family indicated that the 79-year-old female had a history of dementia and had been reported missing in the past. The missing female was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and also met the criteria for a “Silver Alert” through the New Jersey State Police. While efforts were being made to obtain a photograph for release to the public/media, at 10:30 p.m., Long Beach Township Police Department located the missing female in the Holgate section of Long Beach Township. The missing female was involved in a minor one vehicle motor vehicle collision. The family was notified and responded to Long Beach Township. The missing female was removed from NCIC and the Silver Alert was ended. Any family member who is assisting a loved one who is struggling with Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, etc., [...]

Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release November 25th, 2014 thru December 2nd, 2014 . . Obstructing & Resisting (Arrest) – On Monday, December 1, 2014, at 7:25 p.m., Officer Adam Ewart and Officer John McKee responded to a residence on Hazelton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor in reference to a dispute. Upon arrival of the officers, 55-year-old David Spinks ran out of the back door of the residence and fled from the police officers. David Spinks was told several times to stop and was told that he was under arrest for obstructing the administration of law. David Spinks continued to flee on foot from the officers and was subsequently caught and placed under arrest. David Spinks was transported to Lacey Township police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Obstructing the Administration of Law and Resisting Arrest. Bail was set at $5,000 for the resisting arrest charge. David Spinks made arrangements with a bail bondsman and was released after posting bail. Burglary – On Friday, November 28, 2014, at 6:02 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the 400 block of Riverview Road in reference to a burglary.
