Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. *** 2018 Lacey Police Department "Meet the Officer Day" Saturday, June 2nd, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. *** "Meet the Officer Day" - On Saturday, June 2, 2018, the Lacey Township Police Department, Lacey PBA Local #238 and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation will be hosting a completely free event for the residents of Lacey Township at the Lacey Middle School from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This indoor event will include food and refreshments (hot dogs, potato chips, soda and bottled water), music (D.J.), games, and giveaways (t-shirts, water bottles, etc.). Activities include face-painting, boardwalk-style games, a huge inflatable slide, and more. Families are encouraged to bring their children to meet the police officers and staff of the Lacey Township Police Department. The "Meet the Officer Day" event is part of our ongoing COPs Collectible Card program which is currently in Week #6. Each officer will have their specific Cop Collectable Card with them. This event will offer prizes, including, but not limited to bicycles and an iPad. Participating students will be able to have their collection confirmed and turn in their completed and verified forms. Township News – Lacey Twp. Police Dept/Lacey Twp. Recreation Dept – Next Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event – Friday, May 18th, 2018
*** Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event, Friday Evening, May 18th, 2018 *** In the fall of 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department partnered with the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Municipal Alliance, and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, to open the Gille Park Skate Park, for Lacey Township residents, every other Friday evening in both the Spring and Fall. The events started in August 2016, and continued through last year. The next Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event, also known as "Friday Night Lights" will be held on Friday evening, May 18th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from our local Fire Departments. In addition, the Lacey Township Police Department, the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The event will also include a mobile gaming trailer provided by "Party Crashers" from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available for the kids. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – April 27th through May 3rd 2018
Transformer Fire — On Thursday, May 4, 2018, at 6:38 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the area of 620 Lacey Road for a report of a transformer explosion that caused a small brush fire to ensue. The brush fire was extinguished by Forked River Fire Department and no damages occurred to any structures as a result of the transformer fire. Notification to JCP&L was made by the fire company. CDS Arrest — On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 8:26 p.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road near the intersection of Lane Place, Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 48-year-old Robert J. Braden of Elizabeth Avenue, Whiting, New Jersey. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released. Robert Braden was charged on a summons for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He also received motor vehicle summonses for Maintenance of Lamps, Failure to Produce Driver’s License, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of an Open Container. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release January 20th thru 26th, 2015 . . . Unlawful Entry (Burglary) & Assault (Arrest) - On Monday, January 26, 2015, at 9:55 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to 1225 Gemini Court Apt. - B in Forked River for a report of the unlawful entry of a home and an assault. The resident reported that 19-year-old Edward G. Martin of Buckhorn Lake Court in Little Egg Harbor entered her home without permission and then assaulted 18-year-old Zachery Hartsgrove, who was inside the residence. The victim suffered injury to his hands and abdomen as a result of the assault. The assailant left the scene prior to the police department being notified. A warrant for the arrest of Edward G. Martin has been issued for the 2nd Degree charge of Burglary due to the unlawful entry into the home. Bail is set at $75,000 for the Burglary charge. Edward G. Martin was arrested on the warrant by the Little Egg Harbor Police Department on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release January 13th thru 19th, 2015 . . . Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Monday, January 19, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., Officer Charles May responded to Walmart located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a report of an adult female shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old Amanda Malinowski of Brentwood Place in Forked River for shoplifting merchandise valued at $98. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and served with a criminal summons for Shoplifting. Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Monday, January 19, 2015, at 10:45 a.m., Officer Kymberly Gudgeon responded to the 400 block of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Forked River for damage to a vehicle. The complainant reported that between 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015, an unknown person or persons slashed the tire to his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the residence. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release January 6th thru 12th, 2015 . . Motor Vehicle Accident - On Monday, January 12, 2015, at 7:49 a.m., Officers Jeff Slota and Frederick Anderson responded to a one car motor vehicle accident involving a telephone pole on West Lacey Road near Mule Road in the Bamber Lake section of Lacey Township. Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, identified as 68-year-old Eugene H. Wolbert of Waretown, NJ, was traveling east on Lacey Road when he crossed over the westbound lane of Lacey Road and struck a telephone pole, splitting the pole in half. After striking the telephone pole, the vehicle continued into the woods where it came to a stop. Eugene Wolbert suffered an arm injury and was transported to Community Medical Center by the Lacey Township EMS. Natural Gas Leak – On Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 10:56 p.m., Officer George Resetar was on patrol when he was informed of a natural gas odor coming from the area of Route 9 and Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor, NJ.
