Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Friday's skate park event scheduled for May 18, 2018, has been canceled due to weather concerns. Additional 2018 skate park evening events will be held on (Friday) June 1st, September 7th, September 21st, October 5th, October 19th, and November 2nd, 2018. Additional dates may be announced. The future events will continue to have the mobile gaming trailer provided by "Party Crashers" from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available for the kids. The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer has participated in prior Gille Park Skate Park Evening Events, prior Lacey Day Events, as well as numerous other events throughout Ocean County. The mobile gaming trailer is being sponsored by the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Lacey Municipal Alliance. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park. These events are free of charge. This includes both the Skate Park and the Gaming trailer. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department/Lacey Recreation Department – Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event – This Friday, May 18, 2018
*** Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event This Friday Evening, May 18th, 2018 *** In the fall of 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department partnered with the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Municipal Alliance, and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, to open the Gille Park Skate Park, for Lacey Township residents, every other Friday evening in both the Spring and Fall. The events started in August 2016, and continued through last year. The next Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event, also known as "Friday Night Lights" will be held this Friday evening, May 18th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from our local Fire Departments. In addition, the Lacey Township Police Department, the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – 2018 Police Unity Tour, Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 through Saturday, May 12th, 2018

Five members of the Lacey Township Police Department participated in the 2018 Police Unity Tour to Washington D.C. from May 9th thru May 12th, 2018. On Wednesday morning, May 9, 2018, Detectives Sam Della Sala and Brian Flynn, along with Officers Adam Ewart, Andrew Slota, and Brian Holt, joined more than 500 other riders and participants from Chapters 10 and 13 at the Monmouth County Police Academy in New Jersey, as the starting point of their annual trek to Washington, D.C. More than 2800 officers and participants from all over the world took part in this event. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness that more than 22,000 Law Enforcement Officers have died in the line of duty. Armed Robbery (Handgun) – On Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 11:10 a.m., the Lacey Township Police Department responded to the Country Farms Store located within Eric Plaza on Lacey Road in Forked River with a report of an armed robbery. The suspect is described as a white male, medium build, possibly in his mid to late 30′s, approximately 5’11″ to 6’1″ tall, wearing a black and white checkered flannel jacket, a black hoody under the flannel, a black skull cap with a squared logo, dark pants, sneakers, and sunglasses. The hair color of the suspect is unknown and he had no facial hair at the time of the robbery. The man entered the store, brandished a black handgun, and fled the store after demanding and receiving cash from the clerk. The man was observed entering a light green, older model, 4 door sedan, unknown model (similar to a Ford Taurus). The vehicle left the area west on Adolphus Street toward Lake Barnegat Drive North in Forked River. The Lacey Township Police Department patrol division personnel conducted a search for the vehicle. Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Shoplifting, Warrant, and Possession of Syringes (Arrests) – On Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 12:24 a.m., Officers Brian Holt and John D. Simonson responded to the Lacey Amoco on Route 9 in Forked River for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The complainant reported that on Friday, February 6, 2015, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an unknown person or persons entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot and stole property from inside the vehicle. The value of the stolen property was estimated at $1,000. The property included but was not limited to a purse, cell phone, tablet, and cash. On Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 1:37 p.m., Officers Christopher Meyler and Darrell Nick responded to the St. Pius Church on Lacey Road for a report of a burglary and theft. The complainant reported that between 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., an unknown person or persons pried open the administration office door of the church and appeared to have gone through the drawers in the office. Fraud (Alert) - On Friday, January 30, 2015, at 6:33 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno responded to a Shepard Avenue address in Forked River in reference to a report of fraud. The victim reported that she received a phone call at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from someone who identified himself as working for the "Prosecutors of the IRS." The caller informed her that she owed taxes from the years 2000-2014 and needed to make payments. The caller advised her of different amounts of money that she owed and told her to purchase prepaid VISA Green DOT cards. The victim purchased approximately $10,658 worth of the VISA Green DOT cards and provided the card numbers and security codes over the phone at different times over a three day period. The victim reported that she spoke with several different people who alleged to be from the "Prosecutors of the IRS” and they were convincing because they had her and her husband’s personal information when they spoke with her.
