Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Spruce Street Arrest – Multiple Charges – May 26, 2018
On Friday, May 25, 2018, at approximately 11:02 p.m., Lacey Township Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of Spruce Street in Forked River, for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, identified as a 47-year-old female from Forked River, who informed officers that during the dispute with the accused he discharged a firearm inside the residence. Officers attempted to contact the accused outside, however, he refused and re-entered the residence. Attempts were made to contact the accused with negative results. It was also determined there were no additional persons inside the residence. The Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, consisting of law enforcement officers from various agencies throughout Ocean County, was requested and responded to the scene. The SWAT team secured the area and attempted to make contact with the accused who was still inside the residence. Approximately three hours later, the accused, identified as 44-year-old Matthew C. Foulks, LKA of New Jersey Avenue in Browns Mills, New Jersey, was taken into custody by members of the SWAT Team without incident. Matthew C. Foulks was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters and processed. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – Mat 18th, 2018 through May 24th, 2018
DUI Arrest – On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 6:10 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop on Bay Way and Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 39-year-old Jason S. Kent of Bunnell Street in Lanoka for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Jason Kent was released after receiving summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Suspended Driver’s License. The vehicle Jason Kent was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Criminal Mischief – On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 9:27 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a park check of Gille Park on Manchester Avenue in Forked River. Officer Keefe discovered the men’s bathroom, nearest the tennis court, had damage to the paper towel dispenser. The damage is estimated at $75. All other bathrooms appeared to be in good condition. Possession of CDS – On Monday, May 21, 2018, at 8:31 p.m., Officer Martin Julian conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 9 and Mill Street. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver, 19-year-old Dakota Wolf-Diaz of Morris Boulevard in Manahawkin, NJ, for possession of marijuana. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Memorial Day Parade – Monday, May 28, 2018
Memorial Day Parade - On Monday, May 28th, 2018, at approximately 9:45 a.m. traffic will be blocked on Lacey Road from just west of the Forked River Elementary School (Caldwell Avenue) to three blocks west of the Lacey Township Municipal Building (Newark Avenue). Additionally, at the conclusion of the parade, Lacey Road will be blocked between Manchester Avenue and Newark Avenue until approximately 12:00 p.m for a Memorial. The Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude with a Memorial Service at Bicentennial Park, located along Lacey Road in front of the Lacey Township Police Department. For those of you who are not attending the parade, however, will be driving in the area of Lacey Road during this time-frame, should select an alternate route around the area. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – March 24th thru 31st, 2015
Structure Fire – On Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 5:26 a.m., Officer Adam Ewart responded to the 100 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, Officer Ewart learned that a fire started in an exterior boiler room located on the side of the residence. The boiler room sustained extensive damage; however, it did not affect the remainder of the residence. The Forked River Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The Lacey Township Police Detective Bureau along with the Ocean County Fire Marshal responded to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Theft – On Sunday, March 29, 2015, at 11:16 a.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a theft report. The victim reported that during the past six months an unknown person or persons stole his yellow steel automobile ramps that were stored outside near his shed. The theft is estimated at $80. Maintaining a Nuisance Charges and Warrant Arrest – On Monday, March 23, 2015, at 12:31 p.m., Lieutenant Michael C. DiBella and Sergeant Robert Flynn III responded to 3 Hill Top Court in Lanoka Harbor to serve summonses resulting from a follow-up investigation into several public nuisance complaints. Over the past several months officers of the Lacey Township Police Department have responded to 3 Hill Top Court for repeated complaints including but not limited to loud parties, loud noise, speeding vehicles, open fires, intoxicated persons, fights, underage consumption of alcohol, and providing alcoholic beverages to persons under the legal age. A follow-up investigation by Lieutenant Michael C. DiBella resulted in complaint-summonses for the criminal offense of Maintaining a Nuisance being issued against two of the tenants identified as 21-year-old Joaquim Narciso and 26-year-old Kristen M. Kell. Upon arrival, officers served both subjects with their respective summons pending a court date. In addition, a 22-year-old male, identified as Andrew J. Uveges of 3 Hilltop Court, drove into the driveway of the residence while officers were on scene. Criminal Mischief (Residence) – On Monday, March 16, 2015, at 1:44 p.m., Officer Kymberly Gudgeon responded to the 1000 block of Bowsprit Point in Lanoka Harbor for criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between March 12, 2015 and March 13, 2015, an unknown person or persons damaged a white, vinyl, porch railing estimated at $500. DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, March 16, 2015, at 9:04 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas and Officer Jason Lee responded to Caffrey’s Tavern located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River in reference to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 58-year-old Wayne Grosjean of Forked River for DUI. Wayne Grosjean was transported to Lacey Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. His vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Theft – On Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 2058 hours, Officer Resetar responded to the 600 block of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor for a theft.
