Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 14th through December 20th, 2018
Assist Other Agency – On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 10:45 a.m., Lacey Township Police Officers responded to the Garden State Parkway northbound for a motor vehicle accident. A pickup truck trailering a mini-excavator struck the overpass causing the excavator to be ejected from the trailer. A second vehicle was struck and the pickup truck crashed. The Garden State Parkway was closed for several hours. The westbound lane of Lacey Road over the parkway was closed until it was cleared for structural damage. Suspicious Incident – On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 5:09 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno responded to police headquarters to speak with a subject about a suspicious incident. The subject stated that she was contacted via Facebook messenger stating she could win a large sum of money. Attempts were made to contact the solicitor, a female who stated she was from the Foundant Seekers Grant, but he number was disconnected. Attempted Fraud – On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 1:46 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to Chase Bank on Lacey Road in Forked River. Updated Traffic Alert – Lacey Road Near GSP Open, Drivers Still Asked To Avoid Area
Lacey Road Near The Garden State Parkway Has Been Reopened Following A Traffic Accident Investigation. However, Motorists Are Still Asked To Avoid The Area If Possible Traffic Detour Alert – Following a serious motor vehicle accident, Lacey Road was temporarily closed in the area of the Garden State Parkway. The roadway has since been reopened, however, motorists are still being asked to avoid the area if possible, and should take any necessary actions to avoid that area until further notice. Further updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Weekly Police Blotter - Lacey Township Police - August 25th, 2016 through August 31, 2016 Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 9:37 p.m., Officers George Resetar and Charlie May responded to the 800 block of Hazelton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor to serve an arrest warrant. Upon arrival the Officers met with 44-year-old Lorraine Schuster of Hazelton Avenue and arrested her on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued from the Lacey Township Municipal Court in the amount of $800.00. Lorraine Schuster was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. DUI Arrest- On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 1:20 a.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop on Lacey Road near Harrison Avenue in Forked River. Investigation at the scene lead to the arrest of 20-year-old Anthony J. Amato of Cypress Street in Forked River for DUI. He was transported to police headquarter and processed. Anthony J. Amato was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Unregistered Vehicle. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Weekly Police Blotter - Lacey Police Department - August 19th through August 24th, 2016 Motor Vehicle Accident and Assault by Auto Arrest- On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at 6:42 p.m., Sergeant Dimitri Tsarnas and Officer George Resetar responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Lacey Rd and Harrison Avenue in Forked River. One of the involved drivers, identified as 22-year-old Michael Pillarella of Sextant Drive in Manahawkin, NJ, fled the scene on foot but was located a short time later. An investigation determined his license to drive was suspended. Michael Pillarella was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was processed and released after receiving a criminal summons for Assault by Auto. In addition he received traffic summonses for Driving While Suspended, Reckless Driving, Following to Closely, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries, Failure to Report an Accident, and Uninsured Motorist. The vehicle he was operating was impounded. Weekly Police Blotter - Lacey Township Police Department - August 11th through August 18, 2016 Theft – On Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 7:21 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the 600 block of Fairview Lane in Forked River, for a theft report. The complainant reported that between August 9, 2016 and August 10, 2016, his Red Max backpack leaf blower and his 7.5 HP Honda power-washer were stolen from his shed in the backyard. The total theft is estimated at $1200.00. The incident is under investigation. Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 6:16 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 53-year-old Dominic Lucci of Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor on an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $533.00. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Dominic Lucci was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
