*** 2018 Lacey Police Department “Meet the Officer Day” Saturday, June 2nd, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ***
“Meet the Officer Day” – This Saturday, June 2, 2018, the Lacey Township Police Department, Lacey PBA Local #238 and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation will be hosting a completely free event for the residents of Lacey Township at the Lacey Middle School from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This indoor event will include food and refreshments (hot dogs, potato chips, soda and bottled water), music (D.J.), games, and giveaways (t-shirts, water bottles, etc.). Activities include face-painting, boardwalk-style games, a huge inflatable slide, and more.
Families are encouraged to bring their children to meet the police officers and staff of the Lacey Township Police Department. The “Meet the Officer Day” event is part of our ongoing COPs Collectible Card program which is currently in Week #9. Each officer will have their specific Cop Collectable Card with them. This event will offer prizes, including, but not limited to bicycles and an iPad.
Participating students will be able to have their collection confirmed and turn in their completed and verified forms. The completed and verified checklist forms will render the student eligible for the grand prize drawings which will be conducted at the prize ceremonies scheduled at each of the participating schools in June (Mill Pond School, Lanoka Harbor School, Cedar Creek School, and the Forked River Elementary School). Blank checklists will be available at the event. The police department’s facilitation of this event is being accomplished with the assistance of student volunteers from the Lacey Township High School as well as staff members of the Lacey Township Recreation Department.
If anyone has any questions in regard to this event you may contact Detective Lieutenant Christopher Cornelius at 609-693-6636 ext. 2566. In addition, you may log on to our website at Laceypd.org and look for the 2018 Cop Card Program under “Announcements.”
Thank you.
