Day 7:

Today, Elf Officer Justice conducted traffic posts, which included speed control and radar operation.  Traffic posts are an essential part of a patrol officer’s daily obligations, which are conducted in an effort to reduce the number motor vehicle crashes.  High visibility of traffics posts, and motor vehicle stops, act to deter careless driving and speeding, among other unsafe operations.  These traffic posts are common in activated School Zones, and areas where high volumes of speeding complaints are received, as well as locations high in traffic crashes.  Ultimately, traffic posts are conducted to ensure the public safety of children, pedestrians, bicyclists, and other motorists.
