On Monday, November 14th, 2016, and Wednesday, November 16th, 2016, members of the Lacey Township and Berkeley Township Police Departments, conducted training with members of the Forked River Fire Department and Lacey Township EMS, at the Ocean County Fire and First Aid Academy, located in Ocean Township (Waretown), NJ. All four agencies worked together, coordinating a multitude of responses to various emergency incidents, including but not limited to mass disasters, active shooter events, and fires. During several of the incidents, members from the Lacey Township Police Department acted as victims and were treated by the Lacey Township EMS. The Fire Department assisted in the entry of buildings as well as extinguishing fires.
I want to thank the volunteers from both the Forked River Fire Department and Lacey Township EMS for joining us and working together as a team. The training was a success and I look forward to working with all of our volunteers again in the future.
