The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, Walmart of Lanoka Harbor, and the Lacey Township Police Department,  have once again teamed up this holiday season to help give back to our communities. Just like last year, 2021 has also been a very difficult year for a lot of families, and we wanted to make sure that we all did our part to try and make this holiday season just a little bit better for some of you.

Over the past two weeks, Lacey Township Police Chief Michael C. DiBella and Walmart Manager Will Ferguson, along with Lacey Municipal Police Foundation Directors Dan Cortese and James Wioland, provided several $50 Walmart gift cards to random families as they paid for their merchandise at Walmart in Lacey Township. The gift card(s) was utilized toward their total bill.  What made this event really special was to see several smiles, and even some tears of joy, when the gift cards were provided.

The gift cards were provided through donations from both the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and Walmart. In addition to the random gift card giveaway, we also provided the gift cards to a list of local families who we knew needed a little extra assistance this Holiday season.

The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation was established by police officers, as well as business and civic leaders as an independent, non-profit organization to improve public safety in Lacey Township. The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation is a volunteer-based organization, which normally utilizes the funds collected to directly support community programs, for example, the Gille Park Skate Park Evening events. However, due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the police foundation decided this year to once again utilize some funds to give back directly to our communities.

If anyone has any questions regarding these events, or the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, you may contact Lacey Police Chief Michael C. DiBella at 609-693-6636 ext. 2511.

Thank you.
