On Saturday, October 1st, 2016, at 12:47 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to Huffy Wallis Park, located at 1740 Parkside Drive in Forked River, for a suspicious vehicle. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, a 17-year-old female juvenile from Lanoka Harbor, NJ, for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. The female juvenile was in possession of 11 individually wrapped bags of marijuana packaged for sales, along with a digital scale and assorted drug paraphernalia. Narcotics Detective Brian Flynn responded to assist in the investigation. The female juvenile was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was released to a parent after being criminally charged on juvenile complaints with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition she received traffic summonses for Driving without a License, and for Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle she was operating was impounded for being utilized during the commission of a crime. The vehicle is subject to forfeiture. – Chief Michael C. DiBella
