Drug Arrest – On Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 11:23 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a traffic stop on East Haines Street near Bayberry Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a passenger, identified as a 15-year-old male from Lanoka Harbor, for possession of CDS. Burglary and Theft (Construction Equipment) – On Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 8:55 a.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between July 7, 2017 and July 18, 2017, an unknown person or persons stole several batteries from his Terex backhoe while it was parked on the 400 block of Route 9 South in Forked River. Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 9:15 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel was patrolling Hebrew Park, located at 324 Cedar Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the rear of the park. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of all four occupants for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
