Traffic Alert–Route 9/Bay Avenue (Forked River)–Road Closed

The Lacey Township Police Department is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 9 and Bay Avenue in Forked River.  Route 9 will be closed in both directions until the investigation is complete.  Please use caution if traveling in that area.

Halloween Tips for Trick or Treaters and Candy Givers/ October 15, 2020

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 8th through October 15th, 2020

      Fraud- During the past several weeks, four Lacey residents filed similar reports concerning unemployment benefits.  Each victim described that their personal information was used while an unknown suspect(s) attempted to apply for unemployment.  In each instance, the suspect received no benefit. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Route 9 and Laurel Blvd – Road Closure/Detour – October 3rd, 2020

Due to a motor vehicle crash at Route 9 and Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor (Lacey Township) involving a telephone pole, that area of Route 9 will be closed for several hours. There will be detours at two locations (Route 9 and South Street) along with Route 9 and Haines Street in Lacey Township. Please avoid the area if possible and drive safely. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Drug Production Facility and Distribution Arrest

      Detectives of the Lacey Township Police Department conducted an investigation into a Forked River resident suspected of distributing Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS).  The target of the investigation was identified as 21-year-old, Andrew M. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 24th through October 1st, 2020

      Theft- On Friday, September 25, 2020, Lacey Police took several theft reports from local residents.  Each resident reported that campaign signs were taken from their lawns during overnight hours.  Video footage captured two suspects driving a small sedan committing the thefts.  Each sign is valued at $15.
