- Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 2:34 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella arrested 47-year-old Nancy Boutilette of Cedar Drive, Lanoka Harbor, NJ on an outstanding Lacey Township municipal warrant for owner responsible for control of dogs (134-2A) in the amount of $400. She was unable to post and transported to Ocean County Correctional facility in lieu of bail.
- Warrant Arrests – On Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 12:57 a.m., Officer Jason Lee was observing traffic when he received a hit on his mobile data terminal (MDT) indicating that the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of two occupants in the vehicle. The two subjects arrested were 26-year-old Michael Colon Jr of Lexington Boulevard, Barnegat, NJ on an outstanding Seaside Heights warrant for disorderly conduct in the amount of $300 along with the arrest of 26-year-old Rashad Stokes of Lexington Boulevard, Barnegat, NJ on an outstanding Stafford Township warrant for possession of CDS in the amount of $901. Sergeant Robert Surtees and Officer Julie Barcalow assisted at the scene. Both subjects were transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where they were processed on the warrants. Michael Colon was released after posting bail and Rashad Stokes was turned over to Stafford Township Police in lieu of bail.
- Illegal Dumping – On Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 11:33 a.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to 820 Municipal Lane (Department of Public Works) to take a report of illegal dumping. Security cameras captured a male suspect removing a couch from a Ford pickup truck and leaving it on DPW property. The owner was contacted by the police and returned to pick up the couch. No charges were filed due to the owner removing the couch.
- Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 11:30 a.m., Officer John Simonson responded to Lacey Township Police Headquarters for a warrant arrest. Officer Simonson processed 45-year-old Janine Traina of Emerald Park Drive, Forked River for an outstanding Hazlet Township motor vehicle warrant for unlicensed driver in the amount of $500. Janine Traina posted bail and was released.
- Warrant Arrest – On Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11:41 a.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the 100 block of Laurel Boulevard, Lanoka Harbor to serve and outstanding criminal warrant on 36-year-old John T. Sullivan for possession of 50 grams or less of Marijuana out of Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000. John T. Sullivan was arrested and transported to police headquarters processed and released after posting bail.
- Criminal Mischief – On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 9:11 p.m., Officer John McKee responded to the 500 block of Holmes Avenue, Forked River, NJ, for a damaged mailbox. The post holding the mailbox was snapped in half. The homeowner stated that sometime between the hours of 7:10 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, the damage occurred. It is unknown how the damage occurred.
- Trespassing – On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 3:18 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to Lacey Materials, Lacey Road, Forked River, for a report of trespassing. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on the property. The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Christopher W. Lowe, Marion Avenue, Howell, NJ, was issued a Special Form of Complaint and Summons for Defiant Trespass.
- Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 1:24 p.m., Officers George Resetar and Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the Walmart, Route 9 North, Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter in the store. The Asset Protection Associate observed the suspect taking a cellular telephone from the plastic packaging, hiding it on his person, and placing numerous items inside a plastic bag. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Craig E. Thomas, Clearwater Drive, Waretown, NJ. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and taken to the Ocean County Correctional facility to await a bail hearing. The total value of the stolen merchandise is valued at $216.
- Burglary/Criminal Mischief – On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 7:07 a.m., Officer John McKee responded to Yorktown Drive, Forked River, for a residence with its front door open. It was determined that unknown person(s) removed the bolt from both the doorknobs causing damage estimated at $100. After inspecting the vacant residence, there appeared to be no other damage.
- Water Damage – On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 10:37 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to 105 Route 9 North (Community Hall) for water pouring out of the building. Investigation at the scene found that the sprinkler pipes had frozen overnight causing them to burst. The damage was estimated at $100.
- Structure Fire (Residence) – On Friday, November 10, 2017, at 11:03 p.m., Officers Elton Copes, Robert Duffy and Sergeant Ronald Buxton responded to Sunrise Boulevard, Forked River, for report of a possible structure fire. The Forked River Fire Department was on scene when the officers arrived. It appeared that the smoldering fire originated underneath the boiler and floor boards. The smoldering embers were extinguished without any damage to the existing structure from fire or smoke.
- Lost/Stolen Wallet – On Friday, November 10, 2017, at 12:39 p.m., Special Officer Matthew Decataldo responded to police headquarters to take a report of a lost/stolen wallet. The 21-year-old victim stated that he noticed his gray wallet missing when he returned home from ShopRite in Forked River. The wallet contained a Chase Visa Debit Card and his NJ Driver’s License. The total amount of the loss is estimated at $7.
- Down Wires – On Friday, November 10, 2017, at 9:53 a.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the location of Adolphus Street and Briggs Avenue in Forked River for a report of wires down. A garbage truck hit a low hanging cable wire. Comcast Cable was called and repaired the wires.
