- Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 5:56 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between 9:30 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. on May 24, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his Wiley-X prescription sunglasses valued at $350. The vehicle was parked in the Home Depot Parking lot, 244 Route 9 North in Forked River, when the theft occurred.
- Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 5:12 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of a suspicious female inside the store. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Lisamarie Narciso, of Freemont Avenue in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, for being Under the Influence of CDS. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Lisamarie Narciso was released after receiving criminal summonses for Being Under the Influence of CDS, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 12:47 a.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 North near Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 20-year-old Michael A. Sparrowe of Skiffway Drive in Forked River, for possession of CDS. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Michael A. Sparrowe was released after receiving criminal summonses for Underage Possession of Alcohol, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, he received traffic summonses for CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Observe a Traffic Control Device and a Provisional Driver Violation.
- Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 12:01 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari observed a suspicious adult male walking near Spirits Unlimited, located at 3 Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 55-year-old James T. Cort, of Olds Street in Forked River, on an outstanding Ocean County Sheriff’s Department no bail warrant. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. James Cort was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
- Criminal Mischief and Trespassing (Commercial)– On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 4:17 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Lacey Used Auto Parts, located at 602 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of two juvenile males breaking car windows. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 14-year-old juvenile male from Forked River and a 14-year-old juvenile male from Lanoka Harbor for criminal mischief. They were both transported to police headquarters, processed and released to their respective parents. Juvenile complaints are pending for trespassing and criminal mischief. The Lacey Township Detective Bureau is conducting the investigation.
- Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 5:39 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 700 block of Clearwater Drive in Forked River, for a report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on May 23, 2017, an unknown person or persons threw a large amount of black paint on the front and rear driver’s side windows and doors of her vehicle while it was parked in front of the residence. The damage to the vehicle is estimated to be $500.
- Warrant Arrest – On Monday, May 22, 2017, at 11:32 a.m., Officers Daniel Ricciardella and John D. Simonson responded to Christopher’s Auto Sales, located at 309 Route 9 North in Forked River, to serve an arrest warrant. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Taylor J. Savage of Winding Way in Andover, New Jersey, on an outstanding Stafford Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $1,000. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Taylor Savage was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
- Warrant Arrest – On Monday, May 22, 2017, at 8:27 a.m., Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 9 North and Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 48-year-old Michael J. Mancuso of 3rd Street in Lodi, New Jersey, on an outstanding Brick Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $500. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Michael J. Mancuso was released after posting full bail. In addition, he received a traffic summons for Failure to Wear a Seat Belt.
- DUI Arrest – On Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 8:52 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the parking lot of the Home Depot, located at 244 Route 9 North in Forked River, for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 56-year-old John C. Grillo of Maywood Place in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. John C. Grillo was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief (Commercial) – On Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 7:50 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to 510 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of a burglary. The complainant reported that on Friday, May 19, 2017, he found several windows on the building had been broken. Furthermore, between Friday, May 19, 2017 and Sunday, May 21, 2017, the building was entered and items were stolen, specifically a MIG Welder valued at $100 and an air compressor valued at $100. The damage to the broken windows is estimated at $500. The incident remains under investigation.
- Underage Consumption of Alcohol Arrest – On Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 2:18 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a suspicious incident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 14-year-old male juvenile from Forked River, for underage consumption of alcohol. He was charged on a juvenile complaint with the offense and released to the custody of his parents.
- DUI Arrest – On Friday, May 19, 2017, at 8:39 p.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Jason Lee responded to the 1000 block of Capstan Drive in Forked River, for a report of a suspicious incident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 37-year-old Eric J. Kaboski of Bowline Drive in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Eric J. Kaboski was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. In addition, he was issued a criminal summons for Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. The vehicle Eric J. Kaboski was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
