• Burglary/Theft/Criminal Mischief- On Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at 12:50 p.m., Officer John McKee responded to Longwood Drive, Forked River for a report of a burglary. The victim stated that sometime between 1200 p.m. on July 1, 2018, and 8:00 a.m. on July 2, the detached garage on his property was entered. An unknown suspect stole a yellow Suzuki dirt bike valued at $1000.00. The side door to the garage was unlocked at the time of the theft. During the course of the theft, damage was done to the vehicle in the garage. The estimated value of the damage to the vehicle is $400.00
  • Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at 12:52 a.m., Officers Scott Keefe, Elton Copes, and Sergeant Robert Surtees responded to the Lacey Inn on Route 9 North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 23-year-old Christopher D. Phillips who resides at the Lacey Inn, on two active warrants out of Berkeley Township Municipal Court totaling $891. Christopher Phillips was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and later released on his own recognizance.
  • CDS Arrest – On Monday, July 2, 2018, at 9:38 a.m., Officers Michael Hein, Darrell Nick, and Special Officer Robert Campolei responded to 424 Route 9, in Forked River for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Marissa E. Hebrew of Alpine Street in Forked River. Marissa Hebrew was transported to police headquarters and processed. She received summonses for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Marissa Hebrew also received motor vehicle summonses for CDS in a motor vehicle and violation of an open container. After processing, she was released without incident.
  • Trespassing – On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 4:15 p.m., Officers Anthony Sarno and Dan Ricciardella were dispatched to the Trestle, 5000 Cedar Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. The officers observed a parked vehicle and several subjects swimming. The owner of the vehicle, 23-year-old Jake R. Cohn of East Bay Avenue in Ocean Gate, NJ, was given a Special Complaint summons for a Municipal Ordinance violation for Trespassing.
  • Attempted Burglary– On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 11:17 a.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to police headquarters to take a report of an attempted residential burglary. The victim reported that he owns a house on Dee Road in Forked River. He noticed that the deadbolt on the front door and doorknob had been forcibly removed. Nothing appeared to be missing from the home and there was no other damage noticed inside. The detective bureau was notified of the incident.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 1:10 a.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road near Newark Avenue. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 22-year-old Isaiah T. Brown of Paterson Avenue in Whiting, NJ, on an outstanding warrant out of Manchester Township Municipal Court in the amount of $501. Isaiah Brown was issued motor vehicle summonses for Speeding and Driving while Suspended. Unable to post bail, Manchester Township Police took custody of Isaiah Brown for transport to the Ocean County Correctional Facility.
  • Shoplifting Arrest – On Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 7:59 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno responded to 1200 block of Clearview Street where he arrested 25-year-old Victoria Malone for shoplifting from Walmart in Lanoka Harbor that stems back to the beginning of June. Victoria Malone was charged with taking merchandise valued over $200. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after receiving a summons.
