• Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 12:41 a.m., Officer Robert Duffy responded to police headquarters to serve an outstanding warrant issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. 29-year-old Joseph M. Hover of Beach Boulevard in Forked River was processed and transported to the Ocean County Jail.
  •  Burglary/Theft (Auto) – On Monday, February 13, 2017, at 1:15 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to police headquarters to take a report of theft. The victim reported that he ran out of gas on February 12, 2017, at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Lacey Road west of the Garden State Parkway. When he returned to his unlocked vehicle on February 13, 2017, at approximately 10:00 a.m., he found several items missing from his vehicle. The items were listed as Bose Headphones, two knit hats, prescription medications and a lottery ticket, for a total value of $80. There were no signs of forced entry.
  • Burglary (Auto) – On Monday, February 13, 2017, at 8:50 a.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the 1600 block of Evans Road in Forked River, for a report of two motor vehicles being unlawfully entered. Investigation at the scene revealed between 8:00 p.m. on February 11, 2017, and 8:00 a.m. on February 13, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered both of her vehicles. Victim reported nothing substantial missing from the vehicles. The two vehicles were parked in the driveway and left unlocked.
  • Burglary/Theft/Criminal Mischief Arrest – On Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 8:00 a.m., Officer Charles May responded to the parking lot of Shop Rite, 348 Route 9 North, Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a suspicious female who appeared to be burglarizing vehicles parked in the lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 31-year-old Crystal M. Algor, of Route 9 North, Forked River, for Theft of Property, Burglar’s Tools, Criminal Mischief, Burglary, and Criminal Attempt. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, served with a criminal warrant for the charges and transported to the Ocean County Jail.
  • CDS Arrest – On Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 11:20 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a motor vehicle stop near the intersection of Haines Street and Maxim Drive, Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 21-year-old Christopher R. Daddario of Polaris Court in Forked River, for possession of CDS. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after being served with criminal summonses for Possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as motor vehicle summonses for Failure to Maintain Lane and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
  • Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident – On Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 7:38 a.m., Officers Fred Anderson and Jeffrey Slota responded to Bobwhite Court, Forked River, for a report of a vehicle that struck a mailbox and fled the area. Investigation at the scene revealed that the mailbox was on the ground and appeared to have been sheared off at the post. Tire tracks were observed on the grass leading up to the mailbox and pieces of plastic from an automobile were recovered. The officers checked the area and found the vehicle in question parked around the block from the accident scene. The driver, 19-year-old Dalton Anderson, of Bob White Court, Forked River, was charged with Careless Driving, Failure to Report an Accident and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
  • Burglary and Theft (Auto) On Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11:39 a.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the 1600 block of Joffre Road in Forked River, for a report of a theft.  The victim reported that between 7:30 p.m. on February 10, 2017 and 11:49 a.m., on February 11, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered her vehicle and stole loose change, music CDs and other miscellaneous items valued at $310.00.  The vehicle was parked in her driveway and unlocked.
  • Burglary and Theft (Auto) On Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 2:31 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the 1600 block of Joffre Road in Forked River, for a report of a theft.  The victim reported that between 3:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on February 11, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered her vehicle and stole $6.00 worth of loose change. The vehicle was parked in her driveway and unlocked.
  • Shoplifting Arrest – On Friday, February 10, 2017, at 8:37 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to Wal-Mart, 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 21-year-old James W. Moormann, of Anchor Avenue, Beachwood, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $89.99. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.
  • Shoplifting Arrest – On Friday, February 10, 2017, at 6:05 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to Walmart,  580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old Juan A. Rubi, Jr., of Barnegat Boulevard, Barnegat, NJ for shoplifting merchandise valued at $59.96. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on a summons for Shoplifting.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Friday, February 10, 2017, at 4:55 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer observed an intoxicated male walking on Nantucket Road towards Route 9 in Forked River. Investigation at the scene resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Joseph J. Caputo, 4th of Barnacle Road, Forked River on an outstanding warrant out of Seaside Park in the amount of $350. He was processed and transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.
  • Warrant Arrest– On Friday, February 10, 2017, at 11:14 a.m., Officer John Simonson responded to police headquarters to process an outstanding warrant for 24-year-old Ashley L. Jacob of North Main St. in Forked River. The warrant was out of Eatontown Municipal Court in the amount of $831.00 bail.  Ashley L. Jacob was processed and released after posting a bond for the amount due.
