Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Police Reports and Handicap Placards – March 21, 2020
To help decrease unnecessary contact with individuals in an effort to mitigate risks associated with the transmission of coronavirus, we are asking our residents and visitors to utilize the below services for copies of police reports. In addition, if you need to apply for a temporary handicap placard please see the attached instructions. Crash Reports: They are released upon approval, usually 5 to 7 business days: www.carfax.com or email your request to ltalarico@laceypd.org Please include the case number (if supplied), names, date and time of the crash to assist us in locating the correct report. Please include a contact phone number in case we have any questions for you. Requests sent to ltalarico@laceypd.org for crash reports will be emailed at no charge. Police Reports: Please email any requests for copies of police reports to ltalarico@laceypd.org. You must provide your name, address, and type of report you are requesting a copy of (for example a theft report). You must have a vested interest in the report, such as being a victim or needing it for insurance purposes. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Executive Order No. 104 Addition – March 19, 2020
Good evening, On Monday, March 16, 2020, Governor Murphy issued Executive Order No. 104. Earlier today, paragraph 7 of the Executive Order was updated to include the following: facilities where personal care services are performed that, by their very nature, result in noncompliance with social distancing guidelines, including but not limited to: cosmetology shops, barber shops, beauty salons, hair braiding shops, nail salons, electrology facilities, spas, including day spas and medical spas, at which solely elective and cosmetic medical procedures are performed, massage parlors, tanning salons, tattoo parlors, and public and private social clubs, whether or not they serve alcohol, including but not limited to facilities owned or operated by the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Knights of Columbus, and any other social clubs associated with community service organizations. The order advises that the update takes effect immediately , and the facilities listed above were ordered to close to members of the public effective 8:00 p.m. this evening (March 19, 2020). They shall remain closed to the public for as long as the Executive Order remains in effect. Health facilities that provide medically necessary or therapeutic services are exempted from the directive. -Chief Michael C. DiBella
Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – August 24th, 2018 through August 30th, 2018
Underage Consumption/Warrant Arrest- On Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 8:48 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the intersection of Lacey Road and Route 9, Forked River, for a male subject lying on the ground. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Jontel Luke, 19, of Windsor Street, Forked River, for underage consumption of alcohol. Additionally, a traffic warrant in the amount of $139.00 out of Brick Twp was located. Jontel Luke was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released on his own recognizance after being unable to post cash bail. He was also charged on a special form of complaint summons with underage consumption of alcohol. DUI with Accident – On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 1:25 a.m., Officer Robert Duffy responded to Sunrise Boulevard near Leeward Drive in Forked River for a motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old Christian Santiago of Barnegat Boulevard, Barnegat, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Christian Santiago was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. DWI with Accident – On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at 12:55 a.m., Officers Michael Baldasari and Brian Holt responded to Kent Drive in Forked River for a motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 35-year-old Erik W. Quist of Sweetwood Drive, Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed. Erik Quist received motor vehicle summonses for DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Warrant Arrests – On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 9:04 a.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to police headquarters for a subject turning himself in on two outstanding warrants. The first, a criminal warrant out of the Lacey Township Municipal Court, was in the amount of $2500. The second, a traffic warrant out of Ship Bottom Municipal Court, was in the amount of $350. After posting bail, the subject, 47-year-old Joseph J. Ulrich of Oakwood Drive, Forked River, was released without incident. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – August 10th, 2018 through August 16th, 2018
Motor Vehicle Theft/Recovery/Arrest – On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at 1:14 p.m., Officer Michael Hutman responded to the 400 block of Drew Avenue, Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant stated that a female acquaintance of his son had taken the keys to his son’s vehicle while he was at work and left the residence with it without authorization or permission. On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 2:14 p.m., this agency was contacted by the Pleasantville Police Department who had conducted a motor vehicle stop on the stolen vehicle and had the driver in custody. The suspect, 19-year-old Samirah L. Wilson, North Arkansas Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, was turned over to our agency. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, served with a criminal complaint warrant for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and was then transported to the Ocean County Jail. CDS Arrest – On Sunday, August 12, 2018, at 6:03 p.m., Officer Julie Barcalow conducted a motor vehicle stop at Parker Avenue and Mill Street, Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger, 27-year-old John R. Moore, of Vath Street, Jackson, New Jersey, for possession of CDS. [...]
