Beginning today, March 27th, 2017, and continuing for the remainder of the week, the Emergency Communications Network for Lacey Township- Code Red Emergency Notification System, will be conducting a test. Not every resident will receive a call, however, those that do will receive the following message, “This is a test of your community’s code red emergency notification system. No action is required on your behalf. This is only a test. Had this been an actual emergency, you would receive important communications from your local officials. Again, this is only a test.”
This test is being done to ensure the proper connectivity of the emergency communications system for the citizens of Lacey Township. The Lacey Township Police Department is doing this to ensure our residents are provided with the necessary information in case of an actual emergency.
The Lacey Township Police Department will issue another news release when the testing is complete. Thank you and have a good week.
